This is a marvelous story book, with stories reminiscent of Aesop's Fables. Dobbs spins a great yarn, and C. Walter Hodges' illustrations are priceless. I have the 1958 edition, with the original price tag still on it: $1.00. This book was purchased by my great-aunt for me when I was 3. I have always loved it, especially my favorite story in it, The Stubborn Sillies.
