As a beginning playwright I'm trying to learn as much as I can about what happens backstage. Combine that with a love for miniature art and this book was a natural for me. A scenographic model is a miniature stage, usually 1/2 inch equals 1 foot scale, on which set designers try out different potential sets and, sometimes, different lighting schemes.

This is an older book (1985), so it doesn't deal with any computer generated material, which was just fine with me. I got enough tips that I'm ready to try building my own experimental stage and playing around with possible sets.
