Very informative. My favorite phrases were: "put it in high gear" (speed it up) and "sandwich generation" (taking care of elderly parents and young children at the same time)

Watts, K. (1994). 21st century dictionary of slang. New York, N.Y.: Dell, published by arrangement with the Philip Lief Group.

Citation By: Amber Young Collins

Call Number: REF 427 21S

Type: Dictionary

Content/Scope: This is beyond what one would think of when using a dictionary. It defines what slang
terms mean. It is an older version, so many of the terms are out-of-date and there are many new terms that are not included.

Arrangement/Presentation: Alphabetical by slang term.

Accuracy/Authority/Bias: It is outdated so the accuracy has been reduced. But it is presented without bias.
