This is a well written book about the life of a large caribou herd over the course of a year that is living in northern Canada. The book covers their long migrations (around modern Nunavut, NWT and Yukon) over the seasons and the life and challenges faced during each season. The numerous pictures of the caribou, the landscape and other animals were taken by the author and are often stunning.
