These volumes are really out of date by the time they get published. And, the Plains volume only had a few pages on Comanches--Really? Sheesh! The Plains volume seemed descriptive rather than explanatory. At least the Arctic, Subarctic, Southwest, and California were more cohesive.
I suppose if your really interested in some of these cultural areas it would be nice to have the correlating volume, but I doubt you would refer to it often.
