This book is more about setting a mental framework within which to consider cultural differences than any particular references. The author considers this approach more useful than lists of differences based on his own experience. The book is written primarily for the American business manager and says so up front.
I think he was successful in his approach, but it still comes across as somewhat scattered because of the range of cultures involved, sorted by principle, not culture. The real life examples were the best parts.

"Did you know people from around the world are different? Try to match them respectfully, but not to the point of embarrassment, and otherwise be respectful of their culture and customs while not abandoning your own." There, now you've read the book.
