Elena and Bear are hardly more than strangers, drawn together by an inescapable sense of familiarity. All of that changes when a mysterious wanderer arrives, a man claiming to be the Trickster Coyote. As memories begin to unfold and creatures out of myth emerge and threaten, Bear and Elena discover most of what they believed about their past has been a lie, and the sense of familiarity they thought was simply attraction is far more. Drawn into a millenia old struggle between the forces of order and chaos, they find themselves at the nexus of a deadly secret that could unmake the world.

I love how Roylance incorporates geology and travel in this fantasy novel. It makes the supernatural events seem more real.
