This book is a collection of stories and is not illustrated on purpose--specifically designed and written to stimulate unique images. For ages 3 and up.
This book had one serious issue for me. In the winter story, Dolly had put on many layers before going outside to play in the snow. She became warm, so the dragon (BeBoo) removed some of her clothes. I just didn't feel comfortable with that idea in a children's book. Also the author used the word claustrophobic to describe how the dragon felt when buried in a pile of leaves. If this book is geared toward pre-schoolers, that's not a word they would know. Overall, skip this book.
The collection of 4 short stories was free for Kindle. Be Boo is a blue dragon. Dolly is, of course, a doll with pink hair and a pink dress. They share a house in Seattle. This collection (there are others) covers fun in the seasons of the year: napping in leaf pile, jumping in puddles, making snow angels (or a snow dragon). Littlest kids will like the stories. They were very well written.
