3.5, really.

The problem I had with this book was not the historical accuracy, nor was it the setting, the characters, or typos (there were no typos that I could find, by the way). It was the writing. Though very well researched, the involvement of the Gaelic words with the story, though explained, made reading the story harder. Also, some of the sentence structure was confusing. I had to reread quite a few sentences.

Other than that, it was actually very good.
