The plan was for fifty silos to last for five hundred years, and then one would be chosen to start the new world. Things did not go according to plan, halfway through, Silo 1 was destroyed and some people escaped. Meanwhile the surviving forty-six silos continued on until the appointed time. Some rebelled, finding their own way and now the Dark Network look to the the people of the City of Jewel for guidance in the new world. But for others, particularly the people of Silo 6 who were chosen to inherit the world, look down upon these rebels. Two hundred and fifty years after the events of WOOL, the silos open and the truth is revealed.

Nice story

Enjoyed reading. Well done connecting the Silk story with the people on Jewel's settlement. Recommend any fan of the Silk story to read.

I'm not really sure what to say completely about this book. It was ok. I really wanted to like it, because I love the whole Wool world and wanted to read a story about the other people who got out. I think there were so many challenges faced by those in the silo that I just could like Hex and his crew. Not that they are meant to be "liked" since they are the "bad guys" but more because they seemed thrown in there. Like the author thought there has to be a "bad guy" and this megolomaniac is what everyone wants to see. It was forced. The "good guys" were pretty well written but Hex might as well have been twisting his curly mustache and tying a damsel to the railroad tracks. He was terribly written. And many of the scenes were even worse. No spoilers here....but the fight scene in the silo? It lasted hours and days and people just killed each other without knowing anything about anything? Overall, it could use a good thorough editing and cut the extraneous stuff. Maybe have someone objective start slashing the terrible parts. I gave it two because I liked the idea behind it. The execution? Not so much.

Silo 6

Poorly proofed, but with an interesting premise. Worth your time because it finishes off IT.
I admit I liked it.
