Though it answers some historical questions, it really is an obscure area to focus on, and it's nowhere near as important as some of Krick's other books.

Title pretty much says it all. Daily temperature readings from Washington, D.C. mixed in with some comments and descriptions, i.e. rain or snow or sunny, etc., with additional details diary extracts. While the author states how the weather impacted certain events, there is no overall analysis of the role of climate on the war in Virginia.
