Finding Happy is the first of 3 books in the trilogy For The Love Of Chihuahua inspired by my love of my pet dog Chihuahua called Star. For those that love a feel good read romance book, then you'll love Finding Happy. Most people love romance books but I wanted to do something different and have my books based around a pet dog that unites love and brings love together as we all love our pets and they too are one of the big loves of our lives. Finding Happy will bring you a great love and romance story of how the character of a little dog can bring so much power to ones lives! Prologue: Joshua is a graphic designer who is stuck in an unhealthy relationship with a manipulative vamp called Elena. Starlyna is a young woman whose dreams have been crushed and is struggling with depression. However, one puppy, named Happy, unites their fates together. In Finding Happy, Starlyna and Joshua will face the ups and downs of life but, will find themselves united with each other. Will Joshua be able to break up with the Elena? Will Starlyna find joy? Will they find happiness with each other? All will be revealed in Finding Happy.
Probably the worst written stupidest book I've read in a very long time. Definitely did not have an editor. what a dissapointment. I am thankful it was free. I will be deleting this from my library as its not worth the room it takes up. Many well written dog - helped romance novellas out there. Skip this poor written one and keep looking. I have reviewed several well written cute ones.
This is an enjoyable quick read. Starlyna is depressed that she didn’t get her dream job and has to move back in with her parents. She finally moves out on her own again, but falls further into depression until she meets a cute Chihuahua that she takes home and names Happy. She knows she needs to find Happy’s owners, but is so attached and is happier than she has ever been.
Joshua has not only lost Albert/Happy but his crazy girlfriend has finally broken up with him at the same time. He is not sure if he misses his ex-girlfriend or Albert/Happy, but finds relief when his Chihuahua is returned. He doesn’t want anything to do with Starlyna, but he can’t stop thinking about her. Starlyna and Joshua decide to basically share custody of the dog, which makes them spend more time together and get to know each other.
As Joshua and Starlyna spend more time together they start to fall for each other and Joshua finally asks Starlyna on a very romantic date that make the sparks between them electric.
Overall, I felt this book could have been longer with more details and more romance. However, this is the first book of what appears to be a series so stay tuned for Happy Deep Within.
I recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a love for dogs mixed with a little romance.
My Favorite Heartfelt Moment: When she opened her eyes, she saw the words my beautiful Star, you are a joy to be around.
I received a copy from the author in exchange for my honest review, so here it is. This is a really good story. Starlyna is depressed that she didn't get her dream job and she has moved back to her hometown and now her life sucks. She is sitting at the park near her home and hears a whimper and thinks someone is trying to scare her. Come to find out it is a cute Chihuahua and she takes him home and calls him Happy. It doesn't take long for her to become attached and she is happier than she has been in a long time. Then she meets happy's daddy. Joshua not only lost Albert/Happy but his girlfriend has broken up with him at the same time. Good riddance to the ex-girlfriend, she hated all men and took it out on Joshua. He doesn't want anything to do with Starlyna but he can't stop thinking about her. And Starlyna is falling for Joshua. This story will make you laugh and cry while smiling. This is the first for me by Bev E. Taylor and I enjoyed it. Can't wait for Happy Deep Within (book 2).
I've been reading a lot of serious and dramatic books lately so I was looking for a lighter read when I picked up a copy of this book.
It is such a sweet and relatable story, often when life is not going your way things seem to happen that make you glad you were forced in a new direction. So it is with this story where Starlyna has to move back home and Joshua has lost his dog and been in an awful relationship. Now enter Happy, an adorable Chihuahua pup who brings these two together and changes their lives.
I truly enjoyed this heartwarming tale and really felt for the characters. I've been where both Starlyna and Joshua have been, and I too had an amazing Chihuahua change my life years ago.
Seriously, Chihuahuas are such faithful and lovable dogs, when my little dog Chico passed away after a loyal 17 years it was heartbreaking for all who knew him. Thank you for bringing back those memories and for this great romance story! I look forward to the next book in this trilogy.
I received this book to give an honest review. Contains Spoiler!!!
Even though the story line was good, it seemed to fall flat for me. I couldn't truly connect with either characters, I would have liked to have seen more character building. I did enjoy how with Starlyna finding Happy it might bring two people together. The way that Starlyna and Joshua acting seemed way to immature for their age and yet they are suppose to be adults. The way they seemed to have feelings for each other but yet didn't want to act on them it was like really? Be a bit more believable. The way Joshua's and Starlyna's first date went was just so sweet especially with the barn scene I found that to be so romantic. Now there is a part within the story where Joshua talks about bullying someone and the guy kills himself. Starlyna brushes it off and didn't seem to show a lot of emotion with being told this. I think there could have been more emotion from Starlyna. I think this author has a lot of potential, and after reading a sample of book two I think I want to see where this all goes.

"Finding Happy: For The Love Of Chihuahua by Bev E. Taylor was a cute and very interesting series. This was a really simple story of Starlyna finding a cute Chihuahua named 'Happy' and it bringing two people together. See, Starlyna wasn't able to get her dream job and she had become depressed so she moves back to her hometown. One day will sitting in the park she finds 'Happy'and that is where the story opens up for the reader. Joshua has lost his dog(Albert/Happy) along with being in a horrible relationship. Be ready for a read that will put a smile on your face along maybe with some tears. Will this adorable Chihuahua be able to bring these two people together? This is where I say you must pick up "Happy" to see how this author will present it all to the reader. What will happen after Starlyna and Joshua decide to share custody of 'Happy?' It will be a interesting read that I would recommend to you as a good read!
I was given this Book by the author in exchange for my honest review. What's a holiday without a heart warming story to start it off right? Starlyna was depressed, broke, unemployed and on her way home to live with her parents. After sleeping most of the day she took a walk in her favorite park, where she meet the cutest little puppy that she named Happy. now let's meet Joshua, is just getting out of an abusive when he meets Starlyna. This story will melt your heart. Its for the dog lover in all of us. I will be looking forward to see what Happy is up to in book 2.
A gift from the author in exchange for an honest review. A romantic story, basically boy meets girl via the love of a dog. Starlyna and Joshua are the main players but lack strength of character. Unfortunately poor editing spoils the flow and disguises Bev E. Taylor's talent for story telling.
