My Thoughts...

What a emotional read. This author knows how to keep your attention because I couldn't stop reading this one until I had finished it. What a family that had so many secrets! The twist and turns in this read were really off the chart something else! I felt so sorry for Adanya Anniston learning the truth about her life. Now, I will stop here and say you will have to pickup this authors well written story about Adanya where you will find most of the characters were mostly all flawed in one way or the other. I loved that ending as Adanya is finally 'reconnecting with her faith and belief that God will deliver you through it all.' I especially loved how this author delivers a story that after all is said and done there is someone for everyone especially for Adanya!

Adanya Annistons life seems perfect. Her parents have been married for what seems like forever, she benefits from their wealth and has never wanted for anything. She is close to her father and is successful in her own right. What happens when your world collides with another and you realize that you've been living with your eyes wide open and seeing nothing? Adanya comes home one day to hear her mother saying something’s on the phone that causes her whole world to be turn upside down. Confronting her parents just leads to her dismissing everything she knows. As she tries to process this new information, she is confronted with more information that is mind boggling to her. What's blood got to do with it is the question that Adanya asks her parents. The reader will be caught up in all the twists and turns that the book has. When will Adanya know the whole truth? Will she ever be secure in the knowledge she has about her family? How many of us have been told things about family, believe what we've been told just to find out that what we've been believing all this time is an utter lie? That is Adanya's story. The author has definitely impressed me with the way this story is written, even down to the text messages being printed in a font that is common for cellphones. If I could I would give more stars.

Great emotional read. A family with a few secrets. There are times when secrets can destroy a family. This book has a bunch of twists and turns. Adanya had a hard time adjusting to the secret after she found out. Adanya was shocked when another secret was revealed. Adanya reconnected with God. Awesome job.

Caution… Secrets Ahead

Adanya Anniston is living the charmed life – she works as a college instructor, she is a daddy’s girl, and proud of it. Life for Adanya starts to change when she meets Bleak Bessinger. Although intrigued at first sight, she is warned by her dad to avoid Bleak at all costs. Soon afterwards she finds out a gut-wrenching family secret that may take her over the edge. What other family secrets are lurking in the dark?

“What’s Blood Got To Do With It?” was a very quick read. I loved how the story flowed effortlessly without ever losing my attention. Shelia E. Lipsey delivers a well-developed story with characters that were definitely flawed, but those added ingredients made this selection a very interesting read.

I highly recommend this book.
