Reed Savage returns to Savage Bay, Connecticut, to confront his past. Falling in love is not on his agenda. But when Kara Sinclair kisses him beneath the mistletoe, he knows one thing for sure, he definitely has time for a little Christmas fling.
Kara Sinclair has no plans for falling in love either, but she definitely wants more than kisses beneath the mistletoe. Can she accept what Reed is offering . . . a casual fling with a New Year’s Eve deadline?
I love both reading and writing romance novels. I also love a really good mystery, so I like to include a puzzle for my readers to solve along with the characters. I'll confess to being a chocoholic, but that's my only confession.
I was born near Rochester Castle, and I blame that proximity for my love of England and English history. When not reading, writing, and researching romance, I'm living the real thing with my husband in the Philadelphia suburbs.
I've decided backlists should not die so I've given mine to Ellora's Cave's "Blush" line.
I have a new historical romance out now, LORD OF SWORDS! It is my first book since returning to publishing after an illness hiatus. Please check it out!
I have just completed another winner from Ann Lawrence. Christmas is Savage Bay is a holiday contemporary romance filled with mystery, holiday spirit, passion, joy, humor, excitement and adventure. Two people, one who has been away for over 7 years and the other is a sister of his best friend.
Ryan returns home after 7 years and gets a very unexpected surprise when he discovers how his friends little sister, Kara, has grown up with everything in exactly the right place and perfectly formed.
Ryan is among the men in the town that need taming and Kara has just what it takes to complete this task, Ryan just has to be convinced of this. Kara no longer wants to be a “good good girl” and she wants Ryan to be her teacher of passion. But can she convince him that she is worth him staying for and not leaving town again.
This first part of a new series is a keeper and makes you want to read the next one. Definitely to be recommend as a holiday tale you will want to pull from the shelf and read year after year.

Reed Savage has come home. Sadly his car didn't make it and he decides to walk the last bit to his best friends house, and almost gets run over! This is the start of this wonderfully written romance. Kara Sinclair is his best friends younger sister and Reed is blown away but the woman she has become. Throw in some family drama, a mystery to be solved and you have a masterpiece.
This story is sweet, romantic, funny, sexy, hot, and I can go on and on describing it lol. I have to admit i havent read a straight romance novel in many years! Ann Lawrence keeps pulling me into genres that I left behind and each time I LOVE THEM! She is a brilliant story teller no matter what she writes! I highly recommend everyone pick u this wonderful Christmas story. What perfect time to fall in love with Ann books.
This was my first contemporary romance by Ms. Lawrence and I was surprised I loved it so much because I usually prefer historicals. But now I’ve added contemporary romance to my list of readable genres and Ms. Lawrence’s stories will be on my go-to list for purchases and reading. Because, you see, I’ve discovered something important: As a result of Ms. Lawrence’s exemplary writing skills, it doesn’t matter what genre her romance is in—the story will be exciting, heart-warming, sensuous, may have a touch of mystery, and will have a splendid happy ever after ending (sigh). Reed and Kara’s story is a lovely holiday tale with family ties, love, that touch of mystery, and a swoon-worthy happy ever after. This will be one of those holiday stories I re-read every holiday to come!
I'm so glad to see Ann Lawrence writing again. I enjoy her books and found this one to be well written with characters you want to learn more about. I can't wait for more.
