Baker company

I thought this was a good work of fiction as it mixed real places with fictional people. The flow of the book was good and holds your interest from page to page, I would recommend that any WWII buff read the book

This is a box set of four stories, refereed to as episodes by the author, about a small group of fictitious characters who survive their plane being blasted out of the air during the Normandy invasion. Only a handful get out of the plane before it is engulfed in flames and crashes. They land about 10 miles from their target, ten miles behind enemy lines.

The first group of soldiers they me are members of the German SS, well armed, and well trained. They are fortunate enough to come across a group of the French resistance with whom the conduct harassing raids. written in the first person, the lead soldier (not the leader) meets and
falls in love with one of the French.

The story continues as they rescue some British flyers who had been captured by the Germans, and finally make it back to their lines.

This is a story not unlike Easy Company, but the is Baker company.

If you should want to purchase these stories, buy the box set, it is about 1/3 the price you will pay for each book by themselves.

Good story about paratroopers stuck behind German lines.. Interesting characters and even a love story. Although fiction, it seems real.
