it was an eye-opeing experience to read about how the author sees Japan today have lost most of the good traits of bushido, and how such cultural changes affected the "dignity" of a nation. the author analyses many factors that contributed to such bad changes, and also points out some observations on what makes people whole when they accept their culture. this book can arguablly be discriminative and biased toward the Japanese, however Ii gave me a chance to understand some the Japanese culture aspects I used to ponder about, like how they integrate new and foregin customs and concepts and make something original or so to speak out of it.
