A well written and therefore easily understood guide to useful apps for the kindle fire. I recommend it to anyone, like myself, who needs extra help with selection of useful applications for the system.
Very useful for the technologically challenged,as well as the merely ignorant seekers. It helps in determining the memory usage left too.
Ok this book has some ok apps a little to short. And it could have had more than 100 apps and could have been better apps
Ok this book has some ok apps but the apps could have been better the book was to short and also there should have been more than 100 apps ok book All I. All
but there aren't many apps here I would use. Sure a few of them are great but a lot of this just feels like the author scrolled through the top 100 apps sold and listed those.
I suppose I shouldn't complain since this is what I sort of expected from a book like this but, it would be nice if an author would recommend hidden app store gems that they've come across instead of just what is popular.
Three stars, the book serves its purpose but there's no extra shine here.
I'm not sure if it's just me or that there has not been much change in apps in the 2an half years since I've read an app review mag. this guide should be of some use to an absolute beginner but anyone who has used a tablet before is aware of these most basic kinds of apps.
This "book" lists the top-rated apps in the major categories (entertainment, cooking, games, news, etc.) and provides a brief description of the app. You can easily get this same information yourself by selecting the category in the app store and having it sort by user rating.
as it is there are fewer apps compared to Apple/android market and this small book tries to rate these apps, whether apps are not working properly for example the app which shows live cameras all over the world.
I ended up loading five new apps - thank you!! keep the updates coming!!! The newsreader apps work like a charm and I have been using the scanner app to monitor the hurricane over Hawaii... :)
This app covers a lot of what we are likely to be looking for. I liked the way each one is linked to a download site. The ratings are easy to find and cover what you're likely to need to make a decision.
Would have said 5 stars, but everything has room for improvement! Picked up a couple of free apps, saw that the author likes a few I already have. Well worth the time to check them out as a borrowed book.
Too many non-free apps. Game section is very subjective so all apps are very biased. However is better than trying to find best apps using Amazon app page.
Although this book was very easy to read and understand , The first four apps I tryed to go to were no longer available. Could have given a higher rating if the apps. would have been more up to date.
