What I loved about "Destiny Unlimited"....


I found "Destiny Unlimited" was an amazing powerful read for all ages. I found this novel inspirational, captivating, even humorous and encouragement all through the read, especially in not giving up. This was a good story of a journey of Amethyst Destiny Price...learning the lessons of life...power of words, thoughts as well as the seeds of knowledge that will leave you wanting to get focused on what really matter in our daily lives.


"Destiny Unlimited" is one read that will keep you engrossed and attentive through the whole read that will inspire and motivate you to truly make a difference in your life.

Destiny Unlimited was an interesting and refreshing read. I enjoyed the premise and the book is written so that preteens, young adults, or adults can read and enjoy the book. Amethyst Destiny Price has a hard working mother and father. Mrs. Price supervises the custodial staff and the local hospital and Mr. Price is a "fix-it man". Mr. and Mrs. Price work equally as hard at home raising and nurturing their children. Their's is a house of love. Amethyst is shot and falls into a coma. While in the coma, Amethyst is invited to play the Game for Your Life by Mrs. Jahmari. The most important rule of the game is not to give up, not to quit. Amethyst draws ten cards and the game begins. Each card presents a stop for Amethyst and a life lesson for her to learn. When Amethyst learns one lesson, she moves on to the next. For Amethyst this is more than a game.

I loved this book! I started reading it when I was looking for something to share with my twelve year old niece. I continued reading it because my middle-aged inner child loved it. Vanessa Davis Griggs took me on a journey that reminded me of Alice in Wonderful or the Wizard of Oz. The characters were each very entertaining, but each one also taught Destiny a valuable lesson. It was very inspirational and a joy to read. I highly recommend this book.

I just wasn't into it that much. I didn't read the description before I bought it, because Vanessa is one of my favorite authors, and this book has the Alice In Wonderland type theme and I hate that story. It was always my least favorite children's movie as well. I did like how she incorporated biblical life lessons though.

A must read. This is an absolutely wonderful, enlightening, and encouraging read. This book has touched many places in my heart and spirit. God is truly a worker in all things, you just have to have the faith in knowing that He knows, He hears, and yes, and that He answers. I don't read many novels a second time, this will be one that I will.

Christian Alice In Wonderland

Interesting concept. A series of circumstances results in a young African American girl experiencing a journey of self awareness and common sense. She meets an interesting cast of characters who give her life lessons along the way. A Christian, African American version of Alice In Wonderland.

Excellent read

This was a great book. It really made me think about the impact of my thoughts, words and actions toward others.
