I think this book is good for people who would like to learn interesting facts about the Civil War. It told stories about battles and crazy events that happened. For example, a soldier was sleeping while he was supposed to be doing drills. A Sergeant put him into a cannon for punishment. The soldier started eating the black gun powder. When the others fired the cannon, there was still a cannon ball in it. He got shot out of the cannon and flew over to the enemies camp. He jumped off the canonball and landed into a big oak tree, swung off a branch onto the ground and lived. This is just one example of the crazy, strange but true tales of things that happened during the Civil War.

found in the kids section. It's an excellent resourse. I didn't finish reading the whole book, but would like to have it on my shelf sometime, especially if I teach social studies.
