Elements of Cherokee history, way of life, housing, and especially the fine art of basket weaving is discussed with colorful photographs, symbols, and illustrations to support the narrative. A cookie recipe, craft idea, and simple game concept is included. I think grade 2 and up would find this interesting. Complex words and phrases about the culture are gently mixed with simple vocabulary. The book is a win for the Cherokee Native Americans and young readers!
