Collected here are over 2000 reviews of horror, fantasy and sci-fi TV shows and movies from the 1950s to the present. From the popular to the obscure, this extensive collection of reviews from Kevin Lindenmuth offers a great insight into a wide variety of titles. The reviews include titles of interest to Kevin, were sent to him for review, or where the filmmaker was a friend. What you will find are a prevalence of giant animal, dinosaur, time-travel, vampire films and horror-related television series, many bad Hollywood remakes—and more than a few horror (ible) movies that you’ve never seen or heard of.
What a crock of b.s. - I was in need of something to read while waiting for an e-book to become available that I am on hold for, and figured this was right up my alley. I love horror movies. I love good movies, bad movies, and movies that are so bad they're actually good. I cannot believe how wrong I was. The author, though he clearly had good intentions, failed spectacularly. You can't name your book "Horror Movies" and then include synopsis/reviews for NON-horror movies like The Avengers, Aquaman, and every Babylon 5/Battlestar Galactica creation in history. None of those are horror, or even remotely close. Some sci-fi movies I understand, since they involve aliens and people liken aliens to monsters, hence the horror, but come on.
This book was not horrible but first off it was hard to enjoy all the Typos. I am also kinda baffled at the omission of some of the best movies ever, the reviews were thoughtful but wish there was a few more that i knew.
