She received her BFA degree in Photographic Illustration from the Rochester Institute of Technology and her MFA degree in Design from the School of Visual Arts. She has co-authored: Web Design Studio Secrets, Adobe Photoshop Studio Secrets, Real World Digital Photography, and authored Photoshop Restoration and Retouching and Photoshop Masking & Compositing.

This book has been a huge inspiration in my Photoshop journey. Initially, I was looking for practical, hands-on Photoshop skills, and this book delivered that and so much more. It goes beyond technique, covering the very basics of photography and compositing, as well as the history of compositing and so much more, which adds a lot of depth to the learning experience.
One surprising highlights for me is the inclusion of short articles at the end of each chapter featuring artists and industry professionals who share insights into their creative processes. These sections are incredibly inspiring and show real-world applications of the skills discussed. Even though several Photoshop versions have been released since, I still return to this book from time to time for inspiration. It’s a resource that keeps on giving, blending essential Photoshop skills with a broader perspective on creativity and compositing.
