In this, the third volume of The Masters Project, you meet two completely different kinds of couples than the ones who went before. In Book Five, things get completely changed up as Bob goes all but undercover with the wife of a senator who has been seduced away from her by both power and other women. Jane wants her husband back and while they didn't plan it that way, Bob helpa make that happen. Meeting in out of the way public places, to avoid surveillance, they talk and become friends. But Bob is accused of being more than just a friend. And if you're going to be accused of something ... why not take advantage of what people insist on believing? In the end, having already been convicted, Jane does the deed so she can honestly break it off. It's sad commentary on how people believe what they want to, and don't want to be confused by the facts.Book Six is about a couple who just aren't like any of the other couples Bob has interviewed. To tell you more would ruin the surprise. Suffice it to say they'll make you think about things. In the process, Bob adds even more women to his impromptu harem, and we get to laugh and love with him as he stumbles along through a world he could never be prepared This book deals with adult issues and uses adult descriptions for sexual behavior. It is not appropriate for those under the age of eighteen.
This continues the series in the Master's project. The same issues I had in the previous books are still there. I like reading about the different unconventional relationships and how they work. Bob being added in almost detracts from that. He gets really emotionally involved and in almost every case sexually involved with the participates in the story, but he doesn't end up part of that relationship. His involvement makes the described couples relationship less in my mind in most cases. The first book in the series is about a woman who is married to a powerful senator. It turns out she is lonely and her husband hasn't been with her in a while. She thinks he is cheating on her. She loves him but doesn't love what he has become. Her family is so powerful she has nobody to confide in and Bob ends up taking that place. With his research and questions she forms an attachment to him. The next story is about a couple of women who are in love. There is a lot of back in forth about if they should be called lesbians or not. They used to be married to men and had always loved men. They just ended up in a relationship with each other and love each other.
After 5 yrs, still an interesting and provocative read. Characters and stories remain fresh. I will read this series again.

OVERVIEW OF SERIES
Another really fun book and series by Robert Lubrican! Of the four books/eight stories, I liked these the best.
These are the fifth and sixth stories in Bob’s Masters Thesis research. Each story is unique with Bob being the common thread.
Through the eight stories, Bob interviews over 100 couples. Out of that 100, Bob come across “unusual” circumstances with eight. These are their stories, and we learn how Bob “helps” them in his own unique way.
I think if you read any of the prior books, it’s worthwhile reading the 4th one (books 7 and 8) where all the threads are pulled together.
Through these books, we see Bob grow as his story is filled in. It’s great to see him evolve. And it’s a wonderful exploration of the trials/troubles couples face as they move through life.
REVIEW OF BOOK 5
The first story in this book (book 5) is Jane’s story with a little bit of husband John’s story, and of course Bob. It’s a story of a devoted wife who shocks her politician husband into paying attention. It’s interesting to see how when you’re dealing with politicians and their wife, it’s really hard to know how you are being used in the game. I loved the connection between Bob and Jane, and the surprising finish was well worth the wait. I loved how Jane worked through her issues with her husband; the characters were very well developed.
REVIEW OF BOOK 6
The second story (book 6) is Susan and Micky’s. This story is a little dated as it takes place in the 80’s, yet the circumstances for so many haven’t really changed. Once again, Bob, through his openness, big heart and strong libido rides to the rescue. I loved the background on Mickey and Susan; it really explained how they got to where they were. It also explained why things aren’t always black and white and the void Bob fills in their lives.
