Parties are a big thing in my family. I've loved them growing up and now my littles looks forward to them every year for her birthday. Party planing for me is a several month adventure. Choosing the theme, and from there the decorations, food, guest lists, and many other little things. However, in the chaos of my brain things generally slip from thought. Then I feel panicked....very bad for a party. So, I was excited to read through Best Party Book ever! Help is a wonderful thing with parties, and this book offered quite of bit of insight and fun ideas.
What caught my attention right off the bat was the fun food ideas for each party and how they fit into the themes perfectly...and the themes were all original and fun! Everything was bright, plus there are just pages upon pages of wonderful photos to help show you. Perfect for the soon to be pre-teen to teens girl (I would gladly borrow some ideas for my next bash). It was also wonderful to see how things for the parties were divided up and made it easy for moms and daughters to work together...or allowed for the girls to plan their party on their own, with a little help from the parentals. This book also made sure to offer support and to remind everyone about that the party is for fun and time to spend with friends.
This book is a wonderful guide and helper. It is one I will be hanging onto for future references as my littles gets older.

I really enjoyed this party book and give it 4.5 stars! There were so many tips, ideas, and lots of beautiful pictures!
Speaking of pictures...they were amazing! They were so bright, colorful, and extremely eye-catching! I like how all of the girls in the photos were always dressed modestly and having a good time! They definitely presented girls with a positive idea of how to not only have fun, but be dressed in a fun and stylish, appropriate way!
One thing I really appreciate about the editors is them encouraging to make everyday a reason to celebrate. They encouraged readers to not just celebrate birthdays and holidays, but best friends, people who we need to say thank you too, and even our pet animals! In most of the sections they included little tidbits of "Every day is a party" which was helpful and useful!
All of the party ideas they gave were really fun and not expensive to do in making decorations! There were a few crafts that I felt could be a little hard with not a lot of adult supervision. However again the editors were awesome in encouraging girls to ALWAYS consult their parents before starting the party or anything with it! Not only that, but they also encouraged to be respectful of their decisions concerning the party and showing thankfulness when all is said and done!
Overall, I think pre-teen girls would love the ideas, tips, and as Faithgirlz says "everything in between"! I now I'm planning to incorporate some of the ideas I learned/saw in my own various get-together with family/friends!

BEST PARTY BOOK EVER! is a book for tweeners to teens. If you are planning a party to throw with your friends, this is the book you need. My twelve year old daughter loved this book and thought it had some really great suggestions. Our church is planning an ice cream social and this was one of the party ideas covered.
Recommended for girls of all ages even though it says 10-12 year olds. Perfect for church and public school libraries or homeschool and Sunday school groups. Some recipes are included. $9.35. 160 pages.

Filled with tips, ideas, recipes, and social niceties, it's the perfect way to get started on that perfect party.
I loved the presentation and focus on faith. The book really covers all of the basics. Every day should be special and this book shows how the little things can be celebrated along with the extra special ones. I'm sure that all of this can be found on Pinterest. But it's really nice to have everything right here at your finger tips. Young girls will love pouring over the pages to get ideas. Parents will love the frugal tips and party manners that are mentioned. It's a cute little book that I'll be keeping for my daughter when she's a bit older.

WHY WAS THIS BOOK NOT AROUND WHEN I WAS A TWEEN/TEENAGER??!!!?!
Taking the fun quizzes made me squeal like a little girl. If the Lord blesses me with a daughter, I can't wait to share this with her (hopefully, it won't be out-dated by then!!). I just adore these FaithGirlz books.
