I'm a little biased because Colin Smith is the senior pastor of the church where I worship and work and Tim Augustyn is a friend. That being said, I still can honestly say this is the best one year devotional book I've read (and I've read a few). I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. We used it as a family devotional all through 2013 taking turns reading each day aloud to each other and looking up the Scripture references. My husband and I did our best to answer questions our three teenagers had about the content and we all often relayed life experiences to each other that mirrored the examples used in the devotional. We ended each time praying together. This had a tremendous impact on all of us individually and as a family. I have no doubt our faith was challenged and strengthened through this book. My favorite thing about it is how it takes you through the whole Bible, Old and New Testament, and reveals the Gospel of Jesus Christ as one story throughout. It's accessible enough for those who aren't necessarily church-goers or professed "believers" and substantive enough for those who have been walking with Christ for decades. If you are looking for a devotional - get this one first!

The three one-year devotionals below are intended for people and families who lead busy lives. Their daily use takes only minutes from busy schedules and establishes enjoyable habits that foster togetherness. In addition, their consistent use increases Bible knowledge, encourages prayer, spiritual growth and intimacy with God.

With Christmas and New Year’s just weeks away one-year devotionals are a good gift choice as thoughts turn to new beginnings in the New Year.
