About the author

I am Alexis Ferguson, a teen writer, and I love creating new worlds beneath my fingertips. I hope with every piece I write to enchant readers into falling in love with my stories just as I have. Writing is an outlet with which I wish to change the world into something more accepting, beautiful, and creative, and at the same time I would feel fulfilled if my writing can touch if only a few.

This book nearly gave me a heart attack at least more than 3 times especially at the end when Payge said, "I've stopped loving you". My heart legit dropped. Anyway this book is really great overall.

So, I've been putting off this review for several days because my mom decided to tell me that I will be writing this authors first ever review.....You NEVER visit their blogs or personal facebook pages or instagrams when you're about to review! Never, it makes you feel like a horrible, horrible person.

Let me start by saying that the potential is totally there, it honestly is. Risk has the potential to be huge. The writing style and voice is unique. It envelopes you with flowing sentences and characters you can easily relate to.

....With that being said...

Jade has spent most of her life thinking that her father was dead. She finds out he was not, that he is in prison in the world that he comes from. He is Mahgic making Jade half mahgic which is against the law. She decides to go back to the world to save her father. She could be leaving everything behind and endangering everything she loves. Will she find it worth the risk to save her father?

In an Oyster Shell – An interesting read that could use some work.

The Pearls – The beginning of this book was very interesting. It was a very nice hook that made you curious to continue on with the story.
