It's like Ren and Stimpy for children. This rather crazy tale of sibling rivalry seems to be better reading for boys than girls, due to the style of humour. It's also best suited to children who can read themselves, not lending itself to being read aloud. There's plenty to keep young readers amused, with great cartoon imagery and little humourous side comments. As you would expect, children familiar with Almost Naked Animals will get the most out of the story, however who doesn't love stickers!

If you've never seen the TV show of this (Almost Naked Animals) then the book probably won't make sense in places. But if you have, and you like its silliness and grossness, then get this book.

The story is the same as the Season 1 episode "Oh Brother Who Art Thou". Howie's evil sister want's to get her hands on Banana Cabana which Howie owns. But Howie won't give it to her, although he mentions that if he had a brother he would give him half of it. This gives Poodle an idea and soon a long-lost brother shows up. But first Howie has a list of things he would do with a long-lost brother if he had one to get through. What could possibly go wrong?

The book has plenty of glossy colour pictures throughout, and even a page of stickers. It would be suitable for fans of the show.

If you have watched Citv's Almost Naked Animals you'll have some idea of what to expect - anarchy, destruction and hysterical antics. Howie is the hotel manager of the Banana Cabana (a mad dog), Octo the blue octopus receptionist, Bunny the much put upon Hotel Activities Director, Sloth the bellhop and Narwhal the singer. All are Almost Naked except for swimwear. The story begins with Howie surfing down the hotel lobby stairs on a washing machine, and goes full throttle from there.

It's a slight but colourful 57 pages in full colour, with a page of funky stickers at the back. Warning, may induce sniggering, don't expect morals or uplifting narrative, just animals in pants...
