Enjoyed Reading On The Spirit
The Holy Spirit is often called "the forgotten member of the holy Trinity." He certainly is. I'm so thankful for the gift of the Holy Spirit! His ministry is why I'm a believer to this day.
This short book is on the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Don't let the language trip you up. Dr. Hayford teaches the reader very gently and concisely about the Spirit of God and His works among God's people. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would not exalt Himself but rather the Lord Jesus who shed His own blood for our sins. The Spirit is vital to our eternal salvation (John 6:44). Without Him, none of us would be saved (Titus 3:5-7).
So whether you agree or disagree about the timing of the baptism in the Holy Spirit, this book is still worth the read. We desperately need His life and ministry in and among us. May Jesus be exalted through His work! Glory be to God alone.
