Applied Motion Study

Rate this book
Frank B. Gilbreth was the father in “Cheaper by the Dozen.”

Motion Study is a means to permanent and practical waste elimination. Applied Motion Study describes methods of increasing efficiency in the factory, and these concepts can be brought to your home today.

Although the studies were done in the early 1900’s you will learn methods of treating employees we would welcome today. Employees learned to work faster and with less fatigue. Employees were paid more when they started learning to improve production. Compare that to today where “more for less” is the slogan of every business. We work more, they pay less.

You will learn why a business that follows the “more for less” philosophy invariably fails in the end.

After reading this book, I found myself looking at businesses today and evaluating their efficiency. I see employees unconsciously subverting management’s attempts to make them work harder, and the employees are winning.

If a business owner wants to be successful, then they should consider reading this book to learn the secrets of efficiency and employee motivation. It takes a bit of imagination, but everything in this book is true today.
