Short, Sweet, Steamy and Sexy!!
3.5 stars, I'm not known for rating low, I didn't hate this but I also didn't love this..But I could've..There were aspects within the story that I loved, I love me an MMA fighter, two and its a non brainer, it was just too short, I wanted more, needed more, craved more and was just left hanging.. I think if the story was longer my rating would show case that, I found it really hard to connect with the characters, get that feel for the book, I wanted more angst, more fighting, more feels, just more.. This is the first book I've read from this author and I'd be willing to read something else..
WHERE IS THIS BOOK??!!!!! Today is the 10th, and please don't tell me it isn't going to be available e-book, I've been waiting!
again...WHERE IS THIS BOOK?! Why hasn't there been an explaination or a new release date, or something! Today is March 5 and no sign of the author, really??
I love MMA Fighting. This book was page turning and just amazing. I loved the storyline although I felt the epilogue was short and leaving me in a serious book hangover state!. Loved the Brothers and can still not decide which one is my favorite. Caged is a Very Sexy, Fast-paced love story with a Punch.
I love MMA books. . But, I coldn't seem to get into this book enough to LOVE IT. I didn't hate the book at all but It felt like it was way too rushed when it had so much potential. I don't' really ever judge a book by its length, I just felt like I needed more. But I loved how well written it was.
3.5 stars - and that is nothing to do with the quality of the writing because it was well written, it was just too short. This needed to be more. It was destined to be longer, the characters deserved longer and the author should have listened to the characters as they told their story because if she had, I am certain she would have had an absolutely fantastic book on her hands because what we got was great, there just wasn’t enough of it and that is a shame. I have a real soft spot for a fighter and especially those of the MMA persuasion, usually the road to the octagon is littered with heartache and misunderstanding but they are musclebound good guys who exercise control in everything they do ( am I over thinking the role- yep perhaps!) So when I read the blurb I was a shoe in – no stopping me and I have to say I was hooked on the story early on – Lily has MMA in her blood, her father runs a gym and her brother was an involved until injury forced him out of the sport. Seeing what that did to him leaves her reluctant to follow her heart and take a chance with the local hero – Cage Garrett. Cage gets where she is coming from, he understands her reticence but that doesn’t help him when she is all he thinks about, all he has thought about for the last two years. Patience is a virtue man but dear lord get on with it! I was whooping when the pair of them eventually got their act together, dang Tripp needed and medal for final getting the two of them to crack on! But one night was never going to be enough. Did I get the angst of their connection, nope? Did I get the romance of their courtship, nope? Did I get the frustration of what they had missed, nope? – it all skimmed past me and I wanted so much more. I wanted it all and I wanted it all yesterday – hell if I was a toddler I would be stamping my feet and screaming-gimme, gimme, gimmee!!!!! PLEASE do these guys a favour and give them a re-write, a chance to tell us their whole story!! The book is well written and the characters are great they have the potential to be super – so I implore the author to give them some time and to show us what remains hidden.
Ok so I started this book and was hooked, 20mins later, I was like 'what the hell' where is the rest of the book?
The blurb says fasted paced and it was defiantly was.
I love me some MMA fighter, the hot body, strong but gentle loving guys.
Lily has spent most of her life around MMA fighters, after her brother was injured in a fight, she is too scared to follow her feelings for Cage Garrett, who is a local MMA fighter and trains at her dads gym.
Cage has been in love with Lily for over 2 years but is too scared to make a move. After her brother was injured how can he expect Lily to stand by and watch him fight?
After a little push from his brother Tripp, Cage and Lily all end up in bed together for a night of hot steamy passion. But one night is not enough.
This was a well written book, what was there of it was well done, but it just seemed so short and felt like there was so much missing.
It went from a hot and steamy build up to a prologue 1yr later. What happened to everything in between? I was ready for a book full of fighting, heartache, that whole build up to that HEA. But nope there was none of that.
Was disappointed with how short this book was and would love to see it as a full length novel.
"The problem is, it's not just her body I want-it's her. She's adorable, feisty, and tough. She's everything I could ever hope to want in a woman. Too bad she's off limits."
Holy jeez!!!
This book was H-A-W-T!!!
I love the concept! Two brothers like the same girl, but they said that neither would make a move. Even though one is really wanting too.
A girl who likes two brothers, but her father trains them and it wouldn't go well. But she secretly likes one more than the other.
"There's something about the tough outer shell of his that makes me want to crack it and find out what's underneath. Would he be sweet and gentle in bed, or ruthless?"
Cage and Tripp Garrett are some sexy as hell, fighters with naughty mouths that say all the right things. Lily had no chance with these two!
One night changes everything between the three of them. That's right...the three of them. *grabs fan*
Now their relationship has altered and hearts are on the line. But whose will be redeemed?!
"You talk too much for a man about to get incredibly lucky." "Luckiest man in the world."
I realllllly liked this book!!! I wish there was more. I NEED more of these brothers!!
3.5 Stars The story of Cage, Lily…and Tripp. Lily worked in her father's fighting gym, and lusted after Cage and his brother Tripp that trained there. The two invited her on a sort of date, after Cage told Tripp he really wanted her but was afraid to ask her out for fear of her father's retribution. From here, the story did not work well for me. The thought of a threeway with brothers is weird - but that's one thing. To then choose one brother after sleeping with the other during a threesome? Awkward! (but again, to each his own) I just personally found it creepy, especially when it seemed that Tripp did this on purpose. I will say the chemistry was good, but I just did not enjoy the brother angle to the story. Romance Readers received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This book was a short sexy read. Lily has been working at this gym for a couple years now. Cage and his brother Tripp train for fights there. She has had her eye on both of them for awhile. When the opportunity strikes to get them both, she jumps on that. But then there’s the question of who she really wants….Finally she decides and it was pretty obvious who she wanted. I enjoyed reading it
I enjoyed meeting Madison Collins through her writing. I like the fighter angle of the story. I enjoy finding out about Lily and the boys. I like that against the odds they fight. They find each other and then love. The erotica pieces are filled with heat. The descriptions are vivid and exciting throughout the book. I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
Just didn't do it for me. I keep imagining in the future when they eventually have kids, and they are asked how they finally got together. 'Since daddy couldn't get his ass in gear, your uncle decided to help out by having a threesome with us...'
