Obstruction
When Julian St. Sauveur, described in Architectural Digest as the "Rock Star of the Architectural World" was seated beside the bohemian woman on his flight to Paris, he never would have conceived how events would unfold...how this young widow would capture his mind, heart and soul so quickly and completely. She was a force of nature and his equal in every way — passion, anger, joy and just plain silliness.
Jazzmyne Mickelson took off on a journey of self- exploration and was likewise thrown off balance by the beautiful and urbane man who sat beside her.

I've had lots of stories whirling around in my head over the years and am grateful for the opportunities afforded by the relatively new world of self-publishing.
Personally, I am a wife, career woman and mom to 3 amazing little divas, I ride a Harley, have ink, a smart mouth and a dirty mind - this latter always with apologies to my mom who wishes she could wash it out with soap!
This journey of writing I am on is by far the most landmark moment in my life. I will always hope that my characters and their stories will bring as much enjoyment to my readers as I get from writing them!

ARC received for honest review
Here is what I love about an author, you have someone who asks if you would like to review her first book and you say "yes" you then go back with feed back and said author then works on their second book and takes what people have said and corrects those things in the next book.
I was lucky enough to get to read the first book, Exploration, in The Potential Trilogy. I enjoyed the story but found a few things were bothersome. I went to Peyton and explained those things and I feel like she really listened to me after reading Obstruction. It is nice to meet an author who is willing to take constructive criticism.
As I said I enjoyed Exploration, and now after reading Obstruction I'm pretty sure Peyton Sloane has me hook, line and sinker. After reading book one I mentioned in my review that I love when an author can actually make you feel like you are in the places the characters are. I've never been to Paris but Peyton has me believing I was. I was able to see clearly in my head every detail she wrote.
I love Julian and Jazz, I love the chemistry between them and the fact that they don't take themselves so seriously. There are times when an insta-love doesn't work in a story and times when it does and this was one of those times. I have no problems with insta-love as long as an author does it right and I believe Peyton has done it right!
Just a few minor editing issues but not nearly enough to keep me from enjoying the story.
I am looking forward to the final installment, and will probably harass the crap out of Peyton until it is out!

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."
Another winning novel in the Potential Trilogy. You really need to read Exploration to fully appreciate this book - and then you need to be as patient as me in waiting for the final book in the series, which is due out next year ... That said this does not end on a cliffhanger per se, just a 'how will this go forward' - if you know what I mean.
Julian and Jazz continue their adventures in Paris and its environs, in this sexy, humorous and also moving read. The course of true love never runs smooth - but these two have incidents in spades. The plots come thick and fast and we get both sides of the story without it being a chapter each, or anything so formal. This slip from one character to the other is seamless and the writing flows easily across the page. I reluctantly paused for sleep, as my eyes were giving out, but was delighted by the whole story.
This is a great heart (and other places) warming read, with plenty of interest and amusement thrown in - It will be joining the first book in my to be reread pile, for days when I want a hot, sexy, fun read. And, let's be honest, if I thought travelling first class could bring me into the presence of another Julian, I'd be maxing out my credit card and off to the airport in a flash!

In Obstruction, her second book in The Potential Trilogy, author Peyton Sloane continues the story of Julian and Jazzmyne which began in Exploration. With this story, the author spreads her wings and shows herself to be a worthy entrant into the world of erotic romance. After a fairy tale first week for this very likable couple, things become complicated. Outside forces threaten what began as a story book opportunity for Jazz to escape the sheltered life she has been living while Julian is doing what Julian does best...exploring his potential. Even though Jazz is fascinated by Julian's proposal of an open relationship, she is less than happy with his celebrity and the obstructions that come with being involved with a man in the public eye. Meanwhile Julian finds that he is not as open to pursuing the same freewheeling relationship with Jazz that he has with other women.
The fact that Julian is more emotionally involved with Jazz than the other women in his past is apparent to everyone except Julian. Although he is aware that she is different, Julian is reluctant to ask Jazz for a commitment because of her new found freedom from years of caring for a dying husband. Jazz, on the other hand, has reservations about becoming too involved with a man whom she sees as being out of her league and into whose world she fears she will not fit.
Julian admits he may be ready for "more" while Jazz questions whether his "lifestyle" may be nothing more than a justification for infidelity. The push and pull continues between Julian and Jazz until what began as an idyllic adventure for both explodes in betrayal, horror and tragedy.
I continue to be impressed with Peyton Sloane's storytelling ability. She has a way with descriptive language that is apparent in the very creative sex between Julian and Jazz. It isn't difficult at all for readers to feel the attraction between these two. I also found the story line to be more complex and compelling than the first book...lots of conflict and drama. The bad guys are really bad in this one and not just a little weird and stalkerish. One of my favorite things about these books is the author's ability to capture a sensory photo of the environment with her vivid depictions of the locale, the people, the clothes, even the food. There is a lot of unusual and graphic detail regarding some subject matter about which each reader will need to form an individual opinion...no spoilers. :-D I think anyone who read Exploration will definitely want to read Obstruction. The ending is one that is not an annoying cliffhanger but a nicely done segue into the third book, Realization, scheduled to be released in 2015. I am anxious to see what the author has in store for Julian and Jazz as they continue to explore their potential.

I really enjoyed reading the second part of this trilogy from Peyton. I was on the fence with the first novel in this series, and I can happily say the author's writing and style definitely left me a happy reader with this one. As other reviewers have said Peyton seems to really read all of her reviews and grow from them, because she blossomed in this novel. I found it easier to read and really got hooked on the characters.
We jump right in where we left off with Julian and Jazz. They still have their palpable chemistry, and the story is still a fantasy/reality for them. This is one of those novels that works with the highly relatable fantasy, because it is exactly that. The story takes us even deeper with J&J and I am very much looking forward to reading book three in the series.
The steamy scenes in this novel are exactly that. Brace yourself because these scenes are H-O-T hot.
Obstruction is a story all its own, I really enjoyed reading it.

On a flight to Paris, Julian St. Sauveur, described in Architectural Digest as the "Rock Star of the Architectural World," was captivated by his seat mate, a young widow named Jazzmyne Mickelson. A certified bachelor, he was not prepared for how fast and how hard he would fall for Jazz. Independent, feisty, and strong-willed, Jazzmyne is a force of nature and his equal in every way. Polar opposites, she reeks of innocence and naivety while he oozes cosmopolitan appeal and experience, their differences only enhance this very passionate pairing.
Their very new relationship is tested every step of the way by their different outlooks in life and his burgeoning popularity. Will their attraction and feelings for each other be strong enough to weather the storm clouds ahead?
Obstruction is the second book of the Potential Trilogy. Picking up from where Exploration leaves off, Jazzmyne and Julian are still in Paris, and still in the stages of exploring their new relationship. Julian eagerly introduces Jazzmyne to a more open lifestyle, which she finds intriguing yet disturbing. In Exploration, Peyton gave us a glimpse of her talent in writing very sexual charged scenes. In Obstruction, any appreciation of her talent is cemented in a very hot hot hot way. The lady can definitely write a sex scene.
In Obstruction, Peyton presents several scenarios that live up to the title of the book. Left and right, due to his or her past, the couple finds themselves in the midst of several storms. Conflict is found in the form of several people from Julian's past. Although, I must admit that I found one plot did not add anything at all to the progression of this book. If the scenario contributes to the development of book three, I venture to suggest that perhaps that particular situation could have been included in that book versus this one.
The sex scenes are very memorable, but there were too many. Yes, I admit, after a certain point, I started skimming those scenes as I wanted to get to the meat of the story. The sex scenes, thoughtfully spread out through the story, would contribute to better pacing of the story. After the resolution of the largest conflict in the book, the story takes a path of too much detail, extraneous scenes that neither contributed to story or character development. I would venture to say that the points made in those extra chapters - Jazzmyne's relationship with her parents, Julian's relationship with his, their future plans, her place in his life, could all be told in three chapters, post-Sebastian.
As I received an ARC copy, there were some grammar, spelling, and syntax issues. I hope that these errors were cleaned up in the published copy.

Although the book did not end with a cliffhanger, Peyton leaves just enough unsaid to continue hooking this reader and wonder -- what happens next? I look forward to finding that out in book three.

Peyton has delivered yet another captivating story that will have you devouring the pages and reaching for the ice until the very last page.
To truly grasp and appreciate ‘Obstruction’, you really need to read ‘Exploration’ first. We start right where ‘Exploration’ had left us hanging, and we continue to follow Jazz and Julian on their journey together in Paris.
After an almost perfect first week together in Paris, things start to become a bit ‘real’ for Jazz and Julian. Their newly formed relationship is tested to the limits and they must fight their way through various obstacles which would be enough to break even the well established couples. From stalkers, to scary as hell paparazzi, its understandable the trepidation Jazz feels.
“Julian, I cant deal with this all this celebrity shit, not short term and certainly not long term. I know we’ve talked before, but today, with the reporters? You say its temporary, I don’t believe that. You aren’t flying under the radar any longer and it’s only going to get worse. I don’t want to live in the spotlight.”
Julian knows what he wants...or I should say who he wants, and he wants Jazz. She has completely turned his world upside down and has him wanting things he never even dreamed of before. But, he also knows that she’s not ready and that she has doubts. He just has to fight for her, and hope that she will come around.
“You have no idea how deeply I’m falling in love with you. Its making me rethink all my pre-conceived notions, the way I’m living my life and the way I want to live it.”
“You belong in my world, my life. I wouldn’t feel the way I do about you if you didn’t.”
But can Julian show Jazz that they can be together and help ease her trepidations?
And can they overcome the obstacles they are faced with and come out stronger?
“She is the symphony that stirs my soul.”
I loved the book. Completely. It was intense, funny, heart-warming and seriously HOT!!! What else do you need in a book? You have an incredibly sexy as sin alpha male, who can also be sweet, a gripping storyline and extremely scorching sex scenes. It has everything. And the cover is, yet again, absolutely gorgeous. A beautiful piece of artwork which I couldn’t take my eyes off.
I also have to commend Peyton on her descriptions. Bloody hell, she has one hell of an ability to provide you with such precise descriptions that you can fell and picture scenes perfectly. I don’t want to say any more than that, without giving away anything. But you will know exactly what I mean when you read it. It’s just, prefect!!!
Peyton has done a wonderful job and you will not be disappointed in any way. At. All.
I am now anxiously waiting until.....March 2015; what!!!!! No!!!!! for the final instalment of this fabulous series. I cannot believe we have to wait that long to get more Julian and Jazz, but I am more that certain Peyton will make it worth the wait.

Just finished Peyton Sloane’s Obstruction, the second instalment of the Potential Trilogy. First of all as I said in my review of Exploration the first instalment, this is not my genre and don’t really care for it but Peyton is a personal friend and I want to encourage her and root for her all I can.
We pick up where the first story ends and Peyton wastes no time in getting down to the nitty gritty of erotica and I was fair warned. I personally find it hard to believe two people would want or need that much sex and that after what happened, Jazz, our female lead would want any sex at all for some time but this is a work of FICTION and it is what the regular readers of this genre wants. I have not read much in this area, including FSOG, so I have nothing really to compare it to. Give me a nice gruesome, grizzly murder and a puzzle to solve, I’m a much happier camper. That being said, what do I look from in a book or movie? I want to lose my self in it, be entertained and not look for some deep, soul searching, inner meaning. This book did this for me. I don’t want to slog through a book for 3 ½ months like I just did with Dickens and have the dictionary beside me trying to figure out what the definition of every other word is. This book reads quickly, without the simpleton writing in the Twilight series, sorry Peyton, I know you liked them but had a sophisticated vocabulary without trying to be over the top.
The story flowed with ease and had a few twists and turns in it. Peyton’s descriptive narrative is some of the best I have read. When the balloon was skimming the fields of grain you could almost feel the heads of grain hitting the bottom of the basket. Her sexual scenes are VERY descriptive and definitely X-rated, not for the feint of heart or those easily offended.
What I particularly liked about this book, is that Peyton took what I think for the most part was constructive criticism of her first book, owned it and learned from it and it showed in this book. It was far better edited than Exploration with only a couple of minor inconsistencies. Last year I read a Robin Cook book, can’t remember which one but it had tons of grammar and spelling mistakes. I thought it was pretty shoddy work considering Mr. Cook probably has an arsenal of editors and researchers at his disposal. If you think about Peyton and all the research and going over minor details herself, you can’t be helped but be impressed. To create characters, names, back rounds, histories and personalities of each and the research done on Paris, ballooning, cars, restaurants , food, sex techniques and so much more, it is exhausting.
In closing, WELL DONE PEYTON! Keep on writing and growing!

I personally find it hard to believe two people would want or need that much sex and that after what happened, Jazz, our female lead would want any sex at all for some time but this is a work of FICTION and it is what the regular readers of this genre wants. I have not read much in this area, including FSOG, so I have nothing really to compare it to. Give me a nice gruesome, grizzly murder and a puzzle to solve, I’m a much happier camper. That being said, what do I look from in a book or movie? I want to lose my self in it, be entertained and not look for some deep, soul searching, inner meaning. This book did this for me. I don’t want to slog through a book for 3 ½ months like I just did with Dickens and have the dictionary beside me trying to figure out what the definition of every other word is. This book reads quickly, without the simpleton writing in the Twilight series, sorry Peyton, I know you liked them but had a sophisticated vocabulary without trying to be over the top.
The story flowed with ease and had a few twists and turns in it. Peyton’s descriptive narrative is some of the best I have read. When the balloon was skimming the fields of grain you could almost feel the heads of grain hitting the bottom of the basket. Her sexual scenes are VERY descriptive and definitely X-rated, not for the feint of heart or those easily offended.
What I particularly liked about this book, is that Peyton took what I think for the most part was constructive criticism of her first book, owned it and learned from it and it showed in this book. It was far better edited than Exploration with only a couple of minor inconsistencies. Last year I read a Robin Cook book, can’t remember which one but it had tons of grammar and spelling mistakes. I thought it was pretty shoddy work considering Mr. Cook probably has an arsenal of editors and researchers at his disposal. If you think about Peyton and all the research and going over minor details herself, you can’t be helped but be impressed. To create characters, names, back rounds, histories and personalities of each and the research done on Paris, ballooning, cars, restaurants , food, sex techniques and so much more, it is exhausting.

I've thought long and hard about this review. When I finished book two in the Potential Series, I felt...unsure. So instead of writing my review, I thought about it. And thought about it. And thought about it some more. Why, you ask? Because I loved Exploration and had high expectations for this book. Because I loved parts of it, hard. And because there were moments when I felt almost uncomfortable, like I was reading something too private, too intimate. I'll get back to that....
Picking up in Paris, Obstruction continues the story of Jazz and Julian - new lovers who met on the airplane and launched into an intense and unusual relationship quickly - as they continue to "explore their potential". Jazz is still unsure about the flashy, public life Julian leads, but he's determined to hold onto her, however he can. Acting on his unusual proposition has both Jazz and Julian confused about what they want for their futures, especially when they face challenges that put them both in danger.
This book, like its predecessor, was HOT. Scalding hot. And it didn't pack any punches, with the steamy stuff starting almost immediately. It was good too. Peyton Sloane knows how to write sex. For real. *Phew* But there were added elements to Jazz and Julian's relationship that, while making it feel more real and realistic, I wasn't particularly enamored with. Without details, I'm referring to everyday things that happen in all real-life relationships, but that I don't love to read about. They clouded my enjoyment of the book, as did what felt to me like extraneous passages. Added details. Lots of descriptions. While it served to paint a wonderful picture of Paris, the added length made it difficult for me to keep reading for long periods of time. Having said that, the sweet, loving development of Jazz and Julian's relationship (and the overall hotness) kept me coming back for more. I'm interested to see what comes next for these two. That I am sure about.

I enjoyed this book . I am glad that this book picked up exactly where the first one left off. I felt like Jazz and Julian starting to grow more as a couple. This book picks up right where Exploration left off, at the good part! The interesting proposal Julian had for Jazz and how it unfolds is told in this book. I just love this couple. They just have this chemistry that is undeniable, it is so intense you can’t help but feel it too. They laugh together, share passion together and even when angry they are still connected. Jazz is able to see things from both sides and from outside the box, she is the most amazing character and Julian is falling for her hard and fast and it is scary as hell for him. He wants her forever but doesn’t want to scare her or smother her so he waits. So much happens in the week they have known each other; you would think it was impossible it has only been a week. Paparazzi now want pictures and interviews, and other people in the back ground also want a piece of Jazz and Julian but not in a good way. What happens will take you by surprise and so will the aftermath and how Jazz and Julian deal with it. Just like the first book, the story blew me away and I didn’t want it to end. I cannot wait for the next book. This is a definite must read trilogy!

I could never imagine a man like Julian agreeing to go along with this. And I could not understand why Jazz would want to do it. They both ended up regretting it later, and agreeing to never do it again.Except for the opening three way, the book begins as a beautifully romantic story, but soon the drama appears. There are dangers lurking around the corner, and the tension is drawn tightly by the author. At one point I really feared for Jazz's well being.I love Jazz's personality. She is somewhat of a free spirit, just discovering her own sexuality after many years of repressing it. A drunk Jazz is a thing to behold. Julian is wonderful as the man who wants more with her, and is willing to go to any lengths get there.The sex scenes are very hot. I'll never look at a hall of mirrors or a balloon ride in quite the same way again.All in all this is a very nice followup to Exploration, and makes me wonder what else the author has up her sleeve. Obstruction is the continuation of the Potential Trilogy and starts up where Exploration left off.
This book is a fantastic improvement on the first book. It is very obvious that the author has listened to her readers and has taken on board all the suggestions and criticisms to make this book better than the first. In particular the editing. I could not fault it. The writing was very clear, and you feel as though you are in this story along with the characters.
The characters are growing more comfortable with each other and are starting to develop nicely. We discover how strong Jazz is emotionally when things get tough and then how confident she is in her work ethics when presented with a new job opportunity. Julian shows more of a softer protective side towards Jazz and is starting to rearrange his life to keep her in it. Together they make a formidable team.
There is a nice combination of love, drama and excitement to keep the reader interested. However, I did feel that there was a little too many detailed sex scenes included, and it slowed the pace of the story down too much at times and I felt the plot suffered.
The romance is sweet, and the sex scenes are steamy with the characters having definite tastes in the bedroom. ;-)
As for the ending, it is still left open, and the story will continue in the third book of the series called Realization, due out in March 2015.
Overall, a good book and one sexy read. I’m keen to see how this series wraps up.

After being treated to book one of this series this second installment was an instant hit. Book one introduced us to our leading characters,Jazz and Julian, as well as some of their friends and acquaintances. We learned of Julian's extreme wealth and history of being a player for the past 6 years after being left with a broken heart by the infidelity of his first true love. We also learned of Jazz naivete even though she was a recent widow . Her sexual experiences were tame but there was instant chemistry between these two when they found themselves seat mates on a flight to France.
Jazz had taken time off work to try to piece her broken life back together by taking a relaxing vacation , or at least that was her original plan . Julian was on a business trip. The sexual heat between these two could have ignited the entire airplane it was so hot and instantaneous. Their entire time in France was spent together and the sex just kept getting hotter and hotter.
In this book the sexual heat never stops but the author has brought in a storyline of the dangers that follow the rich and famous. Scorned jealous lovers, resentful business competitors, all kinds of stalkers are ever present dangers that face the rich and famous . But our two lovers are so new to this role that their defences are down and danger seems to follow them everywhere they go .

Let me start off by saying BRAVO! You have done it again!! This author knows how to grab your attention with the story and write a steamy, realistic sex scene all at the same time. I will not give away spoilers and I do not want to ruin it for anyone so I will just say this. This installment focuses around Julian and Jazz further exploring their potential together. Exploring the many challenges a relationship can face. The author does a tremendous job at capturing the very real ups and downs in a relationship between a small town girl and a famous, wealthy man. The Journey in which Julian and Jazz take this time is so overwhelmingly realistic. Watching Jazz come into her own and become a more confident, determined woman is delightful. In this installment we get to see a more vulnerable side to Julian as well which is also fun. I enjoyed the obstacles in which these two had to face to get to where they are. I also can NOT wait to see what is next for these two. I get the feeling the story is not yet finished. I would recommend this book to everyone. So please read it. Trust me you will not be sorry! The author truly knows how to write a great story and I am looking forward to reading more!

I had read book one, Exploration in this trilogy by Peyton Slone and could not wait to read Obstruction. I devoured it and am hoping the third book will be available soon. I wasn't certain if it was possible for Peyton to deliver a better book than book one. She delivered a better book and I am completely hooked on Jazz and Julian's journey. I was on the edge of my seat wondering how things would unfold.
The book starts out where Exploration left off. Their relationship is not conventional and they explored fantasies together, then in dealing with the aftermath of their decisions events happen. I became somewhat angry with Julian. Can't change the stripes on a tiger and all that.
There is danger approaching. Julian has his enemies and the best way to hurt Julian, hurt Jazz.
I will say this. I adore these two. Their feelings for each other become more intense as time passes. They are a long way away from the single rock God of Architect and the "real woman" that met on the plane in Exploration.
Their story continues and I can not wait to see what the future holds for these two.

Obstruction, is the beautiful adventurous continuation of Julian and Jazz’s story. Picking up right where Exploration left off, which made me a happy girl, Julian and Jazz begin by exploring the potential of their newly founded relationship. In matter of weeks they are tested to extremes. Most of which would shred even well established relationships. I love the dynamic and playfulness of their relationship. And just when I thought it was going to turn into another cat and mouse game, Jazz shows us her maturity. Thus, no unnecessary drama, and we know how much a hate that. Just like Exploration, the sexy scenes are beyond hot, but mostly touching. You can really feel the emotional connection of these characters in every caress. Eloquently written, Peyton Sloane definitely stepped up her game. Though, there were times I felt the dialogue was a little far fetched, and certain parts should be elaborated while other parts eliminated, it was a solid 3.5 star read for me because the story is just beautiful. Though, it does leave off with a cliffhanger, it isn’t quite as daunting as the first, meaning I can breath easy until Realization is released in 2015.

Ok, now I received this second installment of the Potential Trilogy last night. All I have to say is, I devoured the book. I finished it at 4am. This continuation of Jazz and Julian's romance was definitely a bottle book. If you remember, a bottle book is a book where you are leaning it against anything so that you can continue reading while you are doing something else. For me, it is usually the soda bottle on the kitchen table. How dare my family want dinner?
The book was filled with hot sex, touching confessions, and drama that has you biting your nails one minute and crying the next. I just could not put it down.
Jazz is such a strong heroine. I wanna be her when I grow up! Julian gets to show his softer side a bit more here. He re-evaluates his idea of what kind of relationship he wants. He realizes that he wants Jazz, but will he give up his old ways? I have fallen in love with him. Le sigh..... The book ends with promises, doubts, and another cliffhanger!!!!

This is part two of The Potential Trilogy and wow did book two hook me! Usually it’s the opposite; the second book often lets me down but not in this case. Sloane did a great job baiting me and leaving me hanging in book one and has now provided many details and even more wild events.
Jazz and Julian have many adventures in this book. From scary paparazzi to stalkers, they don’t forget to have lots of naughty fun when they can. Which is pretty much every day! Oh to live as a billionaire! As always Sloane pushed the limits showing us that Julian and Jazz have huge sexual appetites. I applaud her graphic and sensual texts detailing their many play sessions. This passion and eroticism drives this series. Without it, I would not be so interested. From threesomes to public sex this couple really gets my blood pumping. I can’t wait to find out what life is like back in American for Jazz and Julian. I’m so ready for book three!

This is part two of The Potential Trilogy and wow did book two hook me! Usually it’s the opposite; the second book often lets me down but not in this case. Sloane did a great job baiting me and leaving me hanging in book one and has now provided many details and even more wild events.
Jazz and Julian have many adventures in this book. From scary paparazzi to stalkers, they don’t forget to have lots of naughty fun when they can. Which is pretty much every day! Oh to live as a billionaire! As always Sloane pushed the limits showing us that Julian and Jazz have huge sexual appetites. I applaud her graphic and sensual texts detailing their many play sessions. This passion and eroticism drives this series. Without it, I would not be so interested. From threesomes to public sex this couple really gets my blood pumping. I can’t wait to find out what life is like back in American for Jazz and Julian. I’m so ready for book three!

Obstruction by Peyton Sloane
I adore this writer’s style. I love that we are growing with her as she writes more and more. The characters feel so real and 3 dimensional that I couldn't stop reading. There are lots of extras, characters on the outside of the main story that add so much to the details.
Jazz is awesome, I mean a biker chic that heads off to Europe to find herself in the first book, she finds drama in spades and each page just brings her more to life. The sex scenes are so hot that I needed a wet clothe and a fan.
Julian is not your typical rich man. He is real and down to earth. I loved when he took her riding in a balloon to make her dreams come true. It’s nice to see the way their relationship develops from a possible one night stand to so much more.

This was the continuous of book 1 Exploration. Jazz was getting to go on ride for a week with Stuart. Julian is still not to happy about it. He is wishing he could do something to convince her to stay and spend her time with him. Then Something happen to cause to put a pause on her plans. and She ends up not going on the Ride with Stuart. Julian & Jazz did set up a little play time with Stuart. This was the first time Julian ever wanted to have a one on one relationship.
I love Julian! He is the typical alpha male. He wants to dominate Jazz. But at the same time he understands she still needs to make experiences because of the sheltered life she lead with her husband that passed away. This book offered adventure in the bedroom, romance, menage, and some steamy sex. It also left me hanging. I think I would love the book more if it was full novel. instead of broken into parts.
I love Julian! He is the typical alpha male. He wants to dominate Jazz. You honestly need to read book one (Exploration) before reading this one so that you understand what is going on.

What I love about this couple is that they are
easy to love and relate with.

5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!
I absolutely love, love, luuuuuuuv, this series! The story is not your predictable HEA and I love how it keeps me guessing as to what's going to happen next. When I finished book one, I was a little peeved at where things were going but was surprised at the outcome at the start of the book.
I did have on little hangup but it didn't make me lessen my rating. It makes me want to learn to speak French. I didn't like all the French convo without translation. You can infer the gist of most of the convos with what's going on but a couple left me questioning what was happening
I can't wait read Realization when it comes out. Going into stalker mode now!

4 1/2 EVEN BETTER THAN THE FIRST STARS!! Peyton really stepped up her game with this book! After the cliffhanger in the first one I was glad to be able to read more about Jazz and Julian after falling in love with them in the first book. This book felt very real and the characters experienced things that would happen in a relationship. Definitely one to read! Can't wait for the next one!!!

Peyton has delivered yet another captivating story that will have you devouring the pages and reaching for the ice until the very last page.
To truly grasp and appreciate ‘Obstruction’, you really need to read ‘Exploration’ first. We start right where ‘Exploration’ had left us hanging, and we continue to follow Jazz and Julian on their journey together in Paris.
After an almost perfect first week together in Paris, things start to become a bit ‘real’ for Jazz and Julian. Their newly formed relationship is tested to the limits and they must fight their way through various obstacles which would be enough to break even the well established couples. From stalkers, to scary as hell paparazzi, its understandable the trepidation Jazz feels.
“Julian, I cant deal with this all this celebrity shit, not short term and certainly not long term. I know we’ve talked before, but today, with the reporters? You say its temporary, I don’t believe that. You aren’t flying under the radar any longer and it’s only going to get worse. I don’t want to live in the spotlight.”
Julian knows what he wants...or I should say who he wants, and he wants Jazz. She has completely turned his world upside down and has him wanting things he never even dreamed of before. But, he also knows that she’s not ready and that she has doubts. He just has to fight for her, and hope that she will come around.
“You have no idea how deeply I’m falling in love with you. Its making me rethink all my pre-conceived notions, the way I’m living my life and the way I want to live it.”
“You belong in my world, my life. I wouldn’t feel the way I do about you if you didn’t.”
But can Julian show Jazz that they can be together and help ease her trepidations?
And can they overcome the obstacles they are faced with and come out stronger?

I loved the book. Completely. It was intense, funny, heart-warming and seriously HOT!!! What else do you need in a book? You have an incredibly sexy as sin alpha male, who can also be sweet, a gripping storyline and extremely scorching sex scenes. It has everything. And the cover is, yet again, absolutely gorgeous. A beautiful piece of artwork which I couldn’t take my eyes off.
I also have to commend Peyton on her descriptions. Bloody hell, she has one hell of an ability to provide you with such precise descriptions that you can fell and picture scenes perfectly. I don’t want to say any more than that, without giving away anything. But you will know exactly what I mean when you read it. It’s just, prefect!!!
Peyton has done a wonderful job and you will not be disappointed in any way. At. All.
I am now anxiously waiting until.....March 2015; what!!!!! No!!!!! for the final instalment of this fabulous series. I cannot believe we have to wait that long to get more Julian and Jazz, but I am more that certain Peyton will make it worth the wait.

I read the first book in this trilogy Exploration in my review of that book I noted that it needed some good editing. The second book in the series was much better. I like that the author read the reviews and improved on her writing. Like in my review for Exploration I am not one to talk about correct grammar. In school English was not my favorite class nor did I get good grades so I commend an author that writes books and takes to heart what her readers say.
I read the first book and just couldn’t stop; I had to get the second book to continue with the story. In Obstruction the author picked up right where Exploration left off. This book is just as HOT as the first book. The passion between Jazz and Julian is off the charts and makes you want to read more. Julian is an alpha male but has a sweet side to him. Jazz is shy but is coming out of her shyness thanks to Julian.
Peyton knows how to grab your attention. In the end the book leaves you in a good place that book three will just be a bonus, but if you’re like me you just want more of Jazz and Julian and can’t wait till 2015 for the final book in the trilogy. Counting down the days because I know Peyton will not disappoint, she will only make it sexier and better.

Let me start off by saying BRAVO! You have done it again!! This author knows how to grab your attention with the story and write a steamy, realistic sex scene all at the same time. I will not give away spoilers and I do not want to ruin it for anyone so I will just say this. This installment focuses around Julian and Jazz further exploring their potential together. Exploring the many challenges a relationship can face. The author does a tremendous job at capturing the very real ups and downs in a relationship between a small town girl and a famous, wealthy man. The Journey in which Julian and Jazz take this time is so overwhelmingly realistic. Watching Jazz come into her own and become a more confident, determined woman is delightful. In this installment we get to see a more vulnerable side to Julian as well which is also fun. I enjoyed the obstacles in which these two had to face to get to where they are. I also can NOT wait to see what is next for these two. I get the feeling the story is not yet finished. I would recommend this book to everyone. So please read it. Trust me you will not be sorry! The author truly knows how to write a great story and I am looking forward to reading more! (less)
