Misty: Double Dippin' 5

Rate this book
In this final book in the popular Double Dippin’ series, Misty comes out of a coma to discover she has the gift of prophecy—or so she says. Does she truly want to help others, or has the self-indulgent diva found herself a new hustle?

Misty awakens from a coma and announces that she now can communicate with the spirit world. Soon after, she undergoes cutting-edge surgery that restores her beauty and mobility. With legions of cult-like followers who are willing to pay top dollar to attend Misty’s seminars and retreats, she is living the opulent lifestyle she’s always coveted.

And with her faithful lover, Brick, by her side, Misty has it all. That is until Brick’s former side chick, Anya, comes on the scene with the intention of proving to Brick they belong together. Misty has already reclaimed Brick once—from her mother, no less—but can she keep him away from the woman who claims she is his one true love?

From bestselling author Allison Hobbs, this final, decadent novel in the Double Dippin’ saga has all the spicy, steamy drama to keep you fully satisfied.

Finale!!

A very fitting and worthy ending to a very captivating series. The ending could've been better, but I'm not going to quibble about the fine points. Overall, this was a good book.

Buy it, read it and enjoy!!👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥👍🏾🔥

This is the last book in a series of 4 books about a girl named Misty. I haven't read the other four books because I did not know that it was a series until I started reading it. I thought the book was entertaining but to me it wasn't very believable and the end seemed rushed. I will go back and read the other books in the series because I really like Allison Hobbs style of writing. I think she is a great author

I started this book and I was immediately annoyed with Misty. For the ending of the series, Allison Hobbs couldn't have made Misty any more arrogant, entitled and narcissistic if she tried. Misty became more and more aggravating.
The book was a good clean up from all the previous books and as always there were ups and downs that had to be sorted out. Once I started this book it was hard to put down and it was a satisfying end to this series.

Misty is BACK…and she is out of the coma! When she awakens she discovers that she has the gift of prophecy. She discovers this by accident. When she does though, Misty’s old way of thinking resurfaces…that of how to make a profit from her newfound abilities. Brick is right by Misty’s side when she awakens but he is doubtful of her abilities. Is she being truthful or is this just another one of Misty’s scams?

Misty has a hard time adjusting to the fact that she is no longer beautiful like she used to be since the side of her face looks grotesque. Even the janitor has a hard time looking at her when she tries to flirt with him. The fact that Misty is paralyzed from spinal cord injury and given that the doctors have told her she will never walk again makes Misty determined to prove them wrong. Not to mention she is willing to do anything to come up with the money needed to make her beautiful again.

Misty by Allison Hobbs is the 5th and final installment of the Double Dippin’ series. To be the final installment in the series, I have got to say I was highly disappointed. There are parts of the story that were too farfetched and totally unbelievable. Some of the people and scenes were insignificant to the overall story. Such as: there were too many sex scenes, which basically makes for filler pages. Some scenes jump from one thing, right to another, leaving the reader wondering when (timeframe) did that occur. Thus, making for an unclear timeframe, weeks, months, hours, etc, In all honesty, this was not Ms. Hobbs best novel to date. The novel seemed rushed and thrown together. It was a decent story, but it fell short of her previous novels.

OK, so I am not the type of reviewer who gives spoilers. Just my true and honest opinion. With that being said, I would love to commend Ms. Hobbs on the final installment of the Double Dippin' Series. I read this book in less than 24 hours. Even reading in between commericals on my "Must Watch" television movies and shows. I am upset however, that this is the last book for those who've read it, like me, might be able to see a new series taking place with a few of our beloved characters. Or that could be just my wishful thinking.

I couldn't put this book down, every page made me want to flip to the next. I had a few moments when I did a little inner monologue with myself wondering what kind of imagination an author has when writing books. I am normally able to guess ahead of a book in what will happen, just like in movies, yet Ms. Hobbs kept me guessing as she will you.

I would love to make this book review a lot more revealing, however, I hate reading reviews with Spoilers. I am constantly hitting the backspace key to not reveal anything. I will say this, we fell in love with Misty and Brick and this story makes us fall in love, and hate the characters all at the same time. It's a rollercoaster, and if you can't handle the twists and turns, do not get on this WONDERFUL ride. I love you Ms. Hobbs!!

I must admit this is the first book in the Double Dippin series I have read. I must read the others ASAP. I was drawn in on page one. This storyline flows flawlessly...I was able to root for and cheer for characters quickly. Allison gives readers enough backstory the characters that you can easily keep up. Let me tell you Misty is a complicated woman and she loves herself and money...and you betta not get in her way. Brick is an interesting man with a twisted history....but I would definitely want him on my team. Anya is passionate, kind, a little naive and THE wrong island woman to cross.....yes I absolutely love Anya. This is the final in the series and definitely an Excellent ride worth taking just make sure your seatbelt is fastened. You think I'm joking I opened the book at 1:40am and was done at 6:50am and smoked 2 cigarettes along with a cup of coffee and drank a Pepsi and my heart was still racing.

This is a series that i have follow and love since my second deployment. Truly this book was everything I expected. I had to include my favorite line from the book because it was so incredible. I have been reading this series for a long time and Misty took me on a ride of a lifetime with her gifted healing skills and hustler mentality. The sex scenes was outrages as usual and of course being a freak, i love the image of tasting leftovers, such a turn on. This book had it share of laughter and drama but I have became a Brick fan since the last book and he didn;t disappoint me at all. He has that killer extinct but still has a heart for others. I was bless to see Anya again because she is the truth as well and i'm so glad the outcome was for the best. I can't share too much and I'm trying to keep it clean so Amazon will approve my comment. Thanks for writing this series and I'm going to get dress up and take my pic with Misty.

Karma does come home eventually. Misty finally got hers. Sometimes you have to wander if a person is capable of changing even after devastating consequences. I don't believe Misty was capable of changing. I believe she was evil to the core of her being. Hated to see this series end. Very good book as were the others. Hopefully Brick & Anya live a happy life.

Misty

as usual Allison Hobbs wrote a good book, but the ending didn't bring it together like she usually does. but still a good conclusion to the double dipping series.

Misty is the personification of evil. While selfish in every aspect of her life, money & men, she managed to have them groveling at her feet to fulfill her every request. What happens is KARMA for Misty and HEA for Brick.
