Take epic religious allegory, the struggle of trying to fit in to a cishet world, a slasher targeting some tepidly shitty adults, and fantastic comedy, run them all together in the blender, put a straw in it, and you can slurp this book past your broken jaw. Tastes almost as good as chewing it. The laughs carried me through this book. Expect great pun, an unexpected cultural reference, or a third media-savvy joke to hit on average of every 2.86 pages (standard deviation of 0.68 pages). My wife, who would be terribly put off by the over the top gore, would frequently ask me what was so funny, and I would tell her she did not want to know, and she eyed me with intense suspicion the entire read. I love how this story could have easily been book 2 of Kevin and Amy Stomp Fate in its Teeth, but instead you have to hit the ground running with their off screen adventure which is so insane nobody believes it actually happened, Kevin and Amy included. Intead, there's an eleventh hour reveal that ties it in to the actual first book, and then pivots to tee up book 3, Our Heros Kick the Devil in his Dangling Nards.
Lamb of God had me falling out of my chair laughing. Then Leap of Faith happened and I was not only in hysterics, but I was swooning over the quality of the writing. This absolutely unhinged, bloody, terrifying, hilarious romp will keep you turning the pages and giggling until the people around you start thinking you've lost it--and then you'll be totally horrified. It's a rollercoaster ride for anyone who loves oddball adventures, quirky characters, and unexpected twists and it's so well written I daresay even the most discerning readers will have a hell of a good time with Leap of Faith. Can't wait for the next in the series. (Love of All That's Holy? Lap of Lazarus? Lord Have Mercy? Love Your Enemies?) Highly recommended.
What the hell was that trippy mind bender! 🤣 Anthony M. Harrington has pulled another one out of the recesses of a clearly slightly unhinged mind with this gory horror comedy. Full of gross outs and laugh out loud one liners, the death count mounting with each page. Loved the tie ins back to The Lamb of God. I can't imagine where the sequel will take us, hard to believe it could get weirder or more gruesome, but I am sure it will! 😉 Easy 5 stars, a read which is far from comfortable and it was with almost a sigh of relief when it ends, but for all the right reasons! ❤️
lamb of god loved it leap of faith is not Lamb of god it is in fact its own story and ties well with it making what I wont ruin your you a epic story. Leap of faith pushes us in and out of our own skin to feel and reveal what we love. I laughed, I got aroused, I was disgusted and I stayed up till three am finishing it cause after chapter twenty just forget it. Leap of faith deserves a bad movie made of it.
This book was a hilarious sequel to Lamb of God! I loved the twists and turns throughout the book and laughed out loud so many times. The dialogue is perfection, and the characters are so well-written. If you love horror/comedy, then you need to read this!
Hilarious, scary, and dramatic all the good ingredients for a great read. Literally had me LOL legit !!! Every new character I think was my favorite then we meet another one who I love even more. A must read!
Leap of Faith was a great sequel to Lamb of God, expanding on the end of times. It had all of the comedy and gore and now I'm waiting for the third book of the trilogy.
