Francis Paul Wilson is an author, born in Jersey City, New Jersey. He writes novels and short stories primarily in the science fiction and horror genres. His debut novel was Healer (1976). Wilson is also a part-time practicing family physician. He made his first sales in 1970 to Analog and continued to write science fiction throughout the seventies. In 1981 he ventured into the horror genre with the international bestseller, The Keep, and helped define the field throughout the rest of the decade. In the 1990s he became a true genre hopper, moving from science fiction to horror to medical thrillers and branching into interactive scripting for Disney Interactive and other multimedia companies. He, along with Matthew J. Costello, created and scripted FTL Newsfeed which ran daily on the Sci-Fi Channel from 1992-1996.

I realize this I a Novella and designed to be short, while interesting, I would liked for it to have been more developed.

This is a very strange little novella! Who is this widow Lindley and what is her dealy-O? Well, you'll just have to read it and find out, now won't you? Hey! No spoilers here! While the author (my current favorite) did not invent the premise for this harrowing tale, he did take it (with permission and encouragement) and run with it taking the reader on a terrifying journey of the mind. Personally, I enjoyed it very much. Perhaps you will also. Who knows these things?

About the Author

F. Paul Wilson is the award-winning, bestselling author of fifty-plus books and nearly one hundred short stories spanning science fiction, horror, adventure, medical thrillers, and virtually everything between. His novels regularly appear on the New York Times Bestsellers List. In 1983 Paramount rendered his novel The Keep into a visually striking but otherwise incomprehensible movie with screenplay and direction by Michael Mann.

The Tomb has spent twenty years in development hell at Beacon Films (Air Force One, Thirteen Days, etc.) as Repairman Jack. The plan is to make Repairman Jack a franchise character. Godot might arrive sooner.

Over nine million copies of his books are in print in the United States, and his work has been translated into twenty-four languages. He also has written for the stage, screen, and interactive media. His latest thrillers, Cold City and Dark City star his urban mercenary, Repairman Jack. He recently wrote The Proteus Cure with Tracy L. Carbone. Paul resides at the Jersey Shore and can be found on the web at www.repairmanjack.com

Deeper into wayward pines.

Deeper into wayward pines.

I think this is the first book I read that has several other authors contributing to character development. pretty soon we will intimately know each resident. do yourself a favor and start with Pines and work up to the latest installment out in July. I have enjoyed each addition to the town roster and I think you will too. quick, interesting, exciting and leaves you wanting more. you can't go wrong with that! there must be something we can put in their food to make them write faster. I am impatient for more of Wayward. I can't even talk about the tv series. be still my heart!

Pines... Wayward... anything connected to Wayward Pines is going to hook me and reel me in. This is a great story and the entire concept of the Kindle Worlds seems to be an excellent as well... short stories to fill in until Blake Crouch gets the next Wayward Pines book finished. And this, in turn, will keep us warmed up for the TV series. Can't wait!!

I spent many of my teen and college years reading F. Paul Wilson stories wherever I could find them, including the defunct but much-loved Rod Serling's The Twilight Zone Magazine. Finding him writing a KindleWorlds story for Blake Crouch's franchise was a special treat.

The tale is well told and in-tone with the installments I've read by Blake himself. Yes, it's a shorter tale, but I enjoyed it.

Terrific novella in the Wayward Pines series. I haven't read F. Paul Wilson for a while but he can still spin a great story. I hope he'll contribute another one.

I love the Blake Crouch Wayward Pines trilogy and the new Fox show coming. These kindle novelettes are written by established writers about Pines.
