Riley McCarthy has everything she could ever dream for. In less than a month she will marry her soul mate and the father of the child she now carries. As evil conspires against them, Riley and Christian will be introduced to those who are sworn to defend her. They must learn to trust in the bond they share for only together does their love stand a chance.

Raised in California she spent her younger years entertaining her school friends with wild tales using them as the main characters. Her writing career ended suddenly when she was gripped with writers block during her high school years. Spending most of her adult life in the printing industry as a buyer her energies were concentrated on making deals and putting out fires.
She met her husband in church and less than 8 months later they were married. She set about balancing her work life with her home life raising her step son and three other children with her husband. Life was spent between corporate deals, soccer games, softball games and swim parties. In 2006 she and her husband moved their 3 younger children from their home in California to Pensacola hoping to give them the life style they had enjoyed as kids growing up in California.
No longer stimulated with work her creative ability fought to break free. When her dreams became so vivid her husband suggested she write them down the words began to flow. Less than a year later she had completed writing the first four books in her series and was well on her way to finishing the fifth. Deciding to self-publish with the aid of her friends she launched the first in the "Dark Series" called "What Lies Within Dark Secrets" currently available at Amazon.com. Unlike her first two books this story takes the reader into a world where fantasy stories and characters come to life. Riley and Christian have everything to look forward to. Soon they will marry and shortly after that their daughter will be born. Why then is Riley haunted by dreams of other people from other lives. Only when her grandmother appears do the couple begin to realize exactly what is happening. This is the story of good vrs evil, of past lives where two lovers are doomed to find each other only to be torn apart. Will history repeat itself in this life time. Only in her aunts and mother's "Book of Shadows" will Riley find the answers they need. Ms. Miller once again reunites old characters with an abundance of new ones. Unlike her others this one will end in a cliff hanger and I cannot wait till her next book is released.

I have really enjoyed the third book in the Darkness series. The first two books guided you towards a brilliant twist in the story line, taking you into the world of witches and vampires, something I have to say I wouldn't normally read.
The characters are strong and interlinked really well.
The book had my heart beating like mad, pages turning rapidly. There are great twists within the story to keep you hooked and wondering where the story will go next.
I can only imagine the fourth book in the series is going to guide the reader into a grand finale in book five, still worth reading and enjoying the gradual build up to hopefully an epic finish.

Witches and vampires!! Holy twist of a story. We got a glimpse of this in the second book and we were thrown into it in this book. Not sure if this was the original path these characters were supposed to take, but I like it! I was silently screaming NOOOO!!!!!! when I saw the to be continued at the end of the book. Spring 2014 cannot come fast enough!!!

Another book I will forever love! Christian & Riley's love will stand the test of time! I'm anxious to read the next addition. Mrs. Miller an awesome job you have done!

This book was the best so far in the series. It pulled you in and introduced you to a whole new set of characters while elaborating on the clues given in both of the first two books in the series. While the book is currently available the author is currently working with an editor and plans to rerelease this book so my advice is to add it to your wish list, follow her blog and buy it when it does get rereleased! You won't be disappointed.

This book is excellent. It keeps you on the edge of your seat. The author knows how to keep the reader invested in the story. If you are looking for a series that encompasses a love story, drama, and fantasy then this is definitely for you.

everything I expected and more you have so much packed action on every page. every time you think they have found there happy ever after you get a new piece of the puzzle. this world is so much more then you could ever imagine.
