The dark cloud on the horizon foreshadows an approaching storm. Is it a harbinger of disaster for Jessica Loftin and her comfortable married life?
Jessica was newly married and excited to build her career. She had a new home and was poised to start a family with her doting husband. The small town girl was still gaining her footing after finally losing the weight that made her the chubby girl that never fit in. How could she be prepared for the moment when Martin Timmons walked through her front door?
From the start there was electricity between Jessica and the muscular married man. She wondered how she could ever return to her everyday life after having felt his touch. The attraction to Martin was a tempest hammering at Jessica’s modest existence and the young wife will pay a steep toll for a most-remarkable sexual encounter. There was something sinister behind his disquieting stare. Martin Timmons was hiding a secret.
A Forbidden Storm is a story of a wife torn between the desire for her fantasy lover, and her wish to stay true to her husband. The storm clouds will gather as the loving spouse succumbs to her lust for a man with a shocking agenda of his own.
This was a short quick read that I wish were longer. Jessica Loftin is newly married she had a new home and was poised to start a family with her doting husband. Martin Timmons walked through her front door and everything changed. Martin is hot and dark and hiding something. Martin the sexy neighbor show up on her honeymoon and she is drawn to him like a moth to a flame. This book was good the problem that I had that it was too short. This was my first time reading this author, but not my last this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.
A tight, fun cross between an erotic romance and something darker and more psychological. This story follows its protagonist on a metaphoric and literal journey that's sexy, but also keeps you wondering as a reader how things are going to turn out. The surprise ending was properly satisfying. The novella is well-written and nicely paced. The strongest thing for me was Jessica, the protagonist, whose relationships -- to her husband, to the sexy neighbor who happens to show up on her honeymoon, and to her her own body and sexuality -- are drawn three-dimensionally and believably. I look forward to reading more from this author!
