Randa Allen has been on the run for most of her life. From one situation to another she always seems to find herself on the losing end of life. That was how she found herself in the pool hall, yet again hustling men for money so she could have someone safe and warm to sleep and something to eat. This time when she finds herself in a match against blonde haired bombshell, Drake Woods, she’s worried that she might lose more than just her hotel money. When he offers her a wager on a single shot, she is too intrigued to turn him down, and she’s not sure that she wants to.
Drake Woods has lost something very dear to him. He has never wanted for much of anything, but his grandfather’s will made it so that he would have to work to win back his cabin on the lake, the only place he ever felt at home. To do it he needs a partner for the pool tournament, and he is fairly certain that he’s found one in the mysterious Randa. Now he just needs to convince her to take a gamble on him, but he’s not sure he would be willing to sacrifice everything in his quest, including his heart.
Hmm what to say. It was kind of over before it began so I was kind of disappointed. There were also other aspects that I didn't like. I'm just really disgusted when characters jump into unprotected sex immediately. Instead of getting caught up in a hopeful romance story, it leaves me thinking EEEW grouse they're gonna get an std. Oh well.
I'm not sure if this was meant to be a short read or it its a book that has another one afterwards. I really liked it but at the end I was just like really that's it? overall it was free cant complain to much
Good story, but not long enough, or enough background information. Also not mentioning using a condom at all was bad. I wish I could give this a 3.5 stars but no halfs.
