The unexpected death of her husband leaves Aurore in despair and feeling overwhelmed at the thought of raising her daughter alone. Her sister-in-law steps in and persuades Aurore to apply for a position as a private teacher in Greece for the summer, believing the change of scenery will help Aurore work through her grief. Aurore discovers her new employers to be kind and caring people and their twin daughters a delight to teach. But she isn't prepared when she falls in love with the girls' uncle. Nor when she becomes the target of a woman's jealous rage and greed for wealth.
Hold on to your hat, this is a wild ride! If you like intrigue, flamboyant characters, romance, and twisty turns, this is a fine read for you.
A recent widow with a young daughter finds solace in Greece with a Middle Eastern extended family as a nanny/teacher. The conniving soon to be ex-wife of one of the main characters is breathtakingly obnoxious and evil in contrast to the kind widow starting a new life and career.
Although entertaining, I became a bit breathless with the constant behind the scenes drama and was understandably relieved to finally come to the conclusion of the story.
