I didn't realise that it was going to be about the *beginning* of the middle ages, which means it's all about the end of the Roman empire and apparently involved way too many people (I can't remember any names, from that book or in real life for that matter, so not good news for me), and the book itself contains way less talks about big castles and what normal people were up to to my liking; it's definitely a great book if you want to know everything about what rich/important people were up to at that time, however.
