Key Shakespeare

This text offers an approach to teaching Shakespeare along with photocopiable resources. Different elements of Shakespeare's language, characterization and drama are introduced, revisited and investigated by pupils, while oral, written and dramatic activities build confidence in reading and understanding Shakespeare in context. The teaching framework draws on extracts from up to ten plays and the book offers specific teaching schemes for "The Tempest", "The Merchant of Venice" and "Macbeth". Units of work and activities are transferable from one play to another, so they can be used independently of the suggested framework to complement the teacher's plan and choice of texts.
