Tony and Pat Pratt #1

Murder at Musket Beach

Rate this book
After Tony Pratt, mystery writer and producer of commercials, and wife Pat, a financial consultant, discover a dumped body (the wimpy town mayor) on their patch of beach in Oregon, they start investigating. Traditional but well-employed tactics like strange figures in the dark, overheard remarks, rumored real estate deals, and odd coincidences create a comfortable if unsurprising atmosphere as the Pratts approach the killer.

" Have fun with the mysteries!..."

This was a quick read and a lot of quirky fun as the couple find a body on their local beach. Now what to do? Maybe solve the mystery and clear themselves? A "soap opera" in the making evolves. Recommended 4/5

Did not realise these were short stories. One more boring than the other

When a mystery writer finds a corpse in his backyard, that's a little too close for comfort. The dead body of the local mayor is found washed up on the shore. Writer Tony Pratt and his wife Pat decide the police are not taking the matter seriously enough and it's time to launch their own investigation.

A very readable book, fast and entertaining.

It was a fairly quick read and not bad, but not great either.
