~*~ 4.5 SCORCHING STARS ~*~

Hail to the Queen of Short Erotica! Seriously, when Rayne Bexley writes something I'm going to read it, and I'm gonna read it ASAP! Her Forbidden Affair is chock-full of HOTNESS! It was a fantastic mix of romance and eroticism.

In short stories it is hard to connect with the characters emotionally, because you don't have a lot of time with them, but in Her Forbidden Affair, I fell in love with Jackson instantly. He isn't the typical "Dom personality" that I crave, but he does have a possessive alpha male quality about him, it's just hidden most of the time. It comes out by the intense love he has for his wife Jade, or Jadie as he calls her. Even though Jade loves her husband with all of her heart, there still has been something missing. Some part of her not complete, and she finds this in her best friend Sydney. When Jackson finds this out (and when he finds out, it's pretty hot) he doesn't know what to think. He is turned on one minute, and devastated the next. He is completely in love with his wife, but maybe that's not enough for her.

Her Forbidden Affair is a Rayne Bexley classic! Full of emotion and scorching hot sex, this gem will make you smile and blush a few times! Even if you aren't a usual FFM reader, I think you will still fall in love with these characters and enjoy it immensely. You have another hit on your hands Rayne! Keep em' coming!

Rayne Bexley’s Her Forbidden Affair is the hot sexy read that we expect from her, but this book isn’t your typical ménage story. Jackson Montgomery is a loving husband to his wife Jade but lately something seems off in their marriage. Jade is a bit distant and Jackson fears that she is having an affair. As a private investigator he knew he could catch his wife with her lover but what a shot to him when he looked at the video and saw not another man, but Jade’s best friend Sydney in bed with her.

This is where I really fell in love with Her Forbidden Affair. I figured Jackson would sit back and really enjoy watching his wife with another woman. What I didn’t expect was the inner struggle that Jackson face as well as the struggle that Jade was faced with. There was so much emotion packed into this short story and the characters were so easy to relate to. The love that Jackson and Sydney both have for Jade made the F/F/M aspect of the story very unique. Jackson and Sydney both want Jade to be happy and they work together to make that happen knowing that neither could give her everything she needs.
The sex in Her Forbidden Affair is sensual and steamy, especially the scenes between Jade and Sydney. I think any fan of ménage will love this book even if you aren’t a fan of f/f reads. Don’t let that aspect keep you away because Jackson is a part of the action even when he’s not in the same room. Yet another fantastic story by Rayne Bexley!

Review of Her Forbidden Affair by Rayne Bexley
By R.L. Bailey
5/5 Angel wings for story
5/5 flames for heat
Contemporary Romance, Ménage

In the book ‘Her Forbidden Affair’, by Rayne Bexley, the author tells the tale of Sydney and Jackson, a happily married couple, and Jade, the women who comes into their lives. Convinced that something in wrong in his marriage, Private Investigator Jackson Montgomery does what he’s trained to do, he snoops. Planting cameras around his bedroom, he is shocked, angered and hurt when he realizes that yes, his wife of nine years is having an affair, but not with a man. It’s Jade that he spies between his wife’s legs.
Confronting his wife, he leaves his home, telling her he needs time to think. It is Jade who opens his eyes. Both Jade and Jackson love Sydney, and neither wants to lose her. Together they come up with the perfect solution, if only Sydney will agree.
Ms. Bexley paints a beautiful picture with her words. The characters are real and the emotions can clearly be felt to the reader. The sex scenes are smoking hot, if a little too short. The book was a fast, but good read. I totally enjoyed it and can’t wait to read more from this author.

I have to first start by saying I'm not a fan of f/f but Ms. Bexley did such an awesome job of putting these two together that I found myself enjoying the interaction. You could feel the conflict that Jackson felt; what man doesn't want a little girl-on-girl action but what husband wants to find out his wife is cheating? Ms. Bexley did a wonderful of bringing the conflict to a head and bringing all parties together. I loved this story and can't wait for more!
