Advances in Information Systems Development: New Methods and Practice for the Networked Society Volume 1

Rate this book
This new encyclopedia, the first volume of which will now be released, offers access to the diversity of ferns and seed plants, the most important groups of green land plants. Available information of general and systematic relevance is synthesized at the level of families. Evidence from virtually all disciplines important to modern taxonomy makes the work a most valuable source of reference not only for taxonomists, but for all who are interested in the various aspects of plant diversity. A revised classification includes a complete inventory of genera along with their diagnostic features, keys for identification, and references to the literature. The subsequent volumes of The Families and Genera of Vascular Plants, each of which will appear in two or three parts, will deal with: monocotyledons (Vol. II) magnoliid and caryophyllid dicotyledons (Vol. III) rosid dicotyledons (Vol. IV), and asterid dicotyledons (Vol. V). both Vols. II/1 and III/1 are in advanced stage of preparation.
