Altogether there are six stories In this book, each of them imparting a wonderful gift.

"The Green Earth" the lesson of protecting our earth and nature.

"Project Chinna" the lesson of sharing our knowledge.

"Mr Ben's Treasures" the lesson of each of our ways of valuing our possessions and honoring our family and debts.

"Unicycle" the lesson of recycling and earning respect.

"The Dream" the lesson of grief and taking care of family.

"The Clever Princess" the lesson of being resourceful.

Each of these stories are well written and you can tell that a lot of work was put into the plot to impart the main point of each one. The descriptions are clear and concise as to be very believable. All of the characters are quite detailed and each are so real. The emotional level in each kept the reader turning the pages. I feel like this book could also be used in discussions with young teenagers in their youth groups, the lessons so obvious.

“A tree asks for so little and gives so much in return.” Fewer truer words have ever been uttered. This is another short story from a very promising Indian writer Gita V. Reddy. I have read a few of her works and must say that this one reached in a touched my heart. This is basically the tale of Johnny Appleseed with an Indian twist. It begins with a young girl, Devi, and her discovery of the miracles of the plant world. An old man reveals the wonders and presents her with a challenge that becomes a life’s quest. Make the world your garden and plant. What this story lacks in bulk it amply makes up in quality. This short tale of wisdom came to me as a pleasant surprise and I highly recommend it to the world as a whole. It reeks of wisdom in its simplest form; read and enjoy.
