This deeply cultural story of magic, celebrations and kids in India was kind of interesting for its discussion of marriage customs, more so than the magic. The entertainment magic quickly devolves into fantasy magic. The cultural nature of the fantasy magic was deep enough that it read as unusually strange for this westerner, even though I'm pretty familiar with general Hindu culture. This is intended as a children's book, and might be appropriate for kids learning about India.

What a fun little chapter book for kids! For an adult, this was a quick read, but for children learning to read for themselves, this would be a fun book for them to read chapter by chapter. It would also make a fun little book to read aloud to your child.

I think if I would've read this to my children when they were young we would've all founded fun but a little scary. Because it's never truly explained how the boys ended up inside the turban. I think explaining that part to my kids would've been difficult. I'm not sure. Maybe we would've taken it as 'you don't need to follow your curiosity all the time'. That it can be a bit dangerous to do so. But it does point out to use your brain and figure things out and by doing so the boys get free.

And why don't girls get to go on adventures like this?

I chose to read this e-book after receiving a free copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

The Magician’s Turban is a short story for older children about two boys who don’t believe that a magician is real. They think he is just a trickster, so the magician uses his turban and his magic to teach the boys a lesson.

This story is creative and easy to read. Although young children could read it, there are a couple disturbing things the boys see that cause me to recommend it to older children.

I have read several of Gita Reddy’s children’s books and they are all ones that children will enjoy.

What a terrific and awesome story of a couple of boys adventures!

I enjoyed this unusual my aero and adventure story and of how they had learned their lesson after not wanting to believe that this one magician that performed a few magic tricks was an actual one indeed and this story tells how this came about. Thus, I would like to recommend this clean, fun mystery with adventure in it for five stars and for kids especially 8-17 years old. I received this ebook for free using KU, now n return, here is my honest review. Super work Gita! By Angela
