I love vintage books and this one gives a new perspective on what it would have been like for young Jesus to travel to Jerusalem during Passover. I loved the questions he asked about the Law, the Sabbath and Rome. A very unique book
It was an alright book but I would have to say that it didn't quite jump out and grab my interest.
The book is beautiful in the details, of providing a general idea what it may have been like to have been raised within stories of greatness and living within an area so full of history that a pilgrimage could recall up all type of story-memories. The book also made sure the reader was aware that the Romans were there something which is hard to comprehend in other writings that try to ignore them.
What I found totally lacking was the fact that Jesus was made more to portray a human side without a divine side. The earlier pages spoke that he felt close to God on a hill yet there was no personal relationship with God the Father until the very ending.
