Novels 1 & 2 of the Soul Mates 101 series need to be read prior to Dylan and Taylor.
In book three of the Soul Mates 101 series, Brett, Hannah, and their eight friends are spending winter break together at the Masons’ cabin in Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
Unable to leave with the rest of the group, Dylan and Taylor are forced to take the four hour ride together. What they don’t know when their journey begins is that their drive is going to take much longer.
I’ve wanted Taylor Page since the moment I laid eyes on her. She was created just for me from her long, dark hair to her black painted toenails. Everything in between is perfection. She’s my rocker girl. It appeared that way until she opened her big, sassy mouth. Then she became a gorgeous pain in my ass.
Oh, I still want her. For six months I’ve tried to break down her guarded wall while she’s fought me all the way. For some screwed up reason, I can’t give up hope that there’s more to Taylor Page than her defensive, high and mighty attitude, but now that we have to be alone in a vehicle for hours, on our way to spend vacation with our friends, that hope will be tested. This is the week I win her over or give up trying. -Dylan
Dylan spends his vacation protecting Taylor and trying everything in his power to win her trust. When he’s finally successful, Taylor tells the secret she’s been guarding. Her father, Vincent Page, is a legendary rock guitarist. He’s also Dylan’s idol. His idol whose daughter is sacred and untouchable.
The week is spent with their friends rallying to bring them together, but after Dylan spends months pining to win Taylor over, her spoiled upbringing and secret might make him run the other way, and it could be too much for Taylor to handle.
Read about the gang’s antics from an interesting night out at a club to a new game of quarters. Their group of ten becomes twelve in this push and pull story about friendship, heartache and love.
For a mature audience due to descriptive sexual scenes and harsh language.
I really enjoyed Dylan and Taylor’s story. I loved how these two had to overcome their pride and learn to trust one another. Dylan spends months trying to break down Taylor’s walls, but learns that maybe her scars run deeper than he originally thought. Taylor, after a life full of people that let her down, must learn to open up in order to truly be happy. From beginning to end, Dylan and Taylor had me on an emotional rollercoaster, and I LOVED IT!!!
This is my favorite so far . Love the emotion that Scarlet brings to her books. I wanted to laugh, cry, and scream at Dylan and Taylor. You should read the Soul Mates 101 series, it doesn't disappoint if you love drama, romance and suspense.
I don't know what happened here. I remember the first 2 instalments of the Soul Mate series were dismal and I had almost given up on the author as well. And then she throws this cute little gem our way and I am happy I didn't.
We are back with the same group of somewhat dysfunctional late teens/young adults, with poor hard-working boys and posh "never worked a day in my life" girls. It is Dylan, the Casanova's turn to fall hard for the least fun (unless drunk) and so-inaccessible Taylor, whose waterworks are easier to trigger than Hannah's (which I didn't even think was possible), and whose father is EVEN MORE famous and rich - and happens to be Dylan's rock idol.
Yada yada yada, danger brings us closer, drama tears us apart, blah blah blah, oh would you look at that, we end up in a hospital again, yada yada drama resolved and we live happily ever after, blah blah drama drama.
However, this time, I actually enjoyed it. No, let me rephrase that. This time, the drama was significantly less albeit just as irritating, but it actually did not overshadow the finer parts of the plot. Not to mention, with so many other characters occasionally taking centre stage, it was hard to stay annoyed for too long.
I also found myself inexplicably wondering about the balance of caution and self-protection, and the risk of love. Even more so, I pondered on what does it mean when a person you know loves you, and you love them, does something really good for you, albeit behind your back, disregarding your personal feelings and limits. Breach of trust, sure. Lack of respect for one's emotions and ability to make one's own decisions, no doubt about it. Is the evident love enough to get over that though? Why would you let someone back in your life that basically treats you like a child, thinking they know better for you?
Even better, if 2 people are having a lovely time with each other, great sex, great fun, yet they haven't really confessed their love for one another (or at least one of them hasn't), why would this be considered "stringing someone along"? I mean, these guys and girls are in their ridiculously early 20s, what on earth are they looking for?! Can't people just have a good time any more, must everything be about love and deep meaningful relationships?
I didn't expect to get into this kind of "deep thinking" from this book, my surprise alone was worth another star. Very well played, Miss Wolfe.
I couldn't help but find this book so funny. Dylan and Taylor are polar opposites and when they met in the previous books, they both couldn't stand one another. Dylan thought Taylor was too stuck up and thought she was above the rest of them because her family has money. What Dylan doesn't know is Taylor's father is a rock star and is in a chart topping rock band. Vincent Page is his name and Dylan's idol. Dylan and Taylor fight constantly but when then get stuck in a snow storm and have to wait it out in the car, Dylan realizes that Taylor has a different side. A caring, sensitive side that Dylan can't help but like. Taylor doesn't trust very easily and finds it hard to open up and let Dylan in but she likes him and doesn't know what to do. Taylor doesn't tell Dylan, who her father is as she wants to be liked for her but later on it does cause problems for them.
There is so many fights between these two that it is highly comical but it is so great to read about. This is probably my favorite in the series at this present time. I loved reading it and half the time, i wasn't sure what was going to happen next with these two. Definitely worth reading, highly recommend!
Dylan and Taylor are good at fighting their feelings. Mainly because all they do is fight. After spending a night trapped in a snow storm, Dylan and Taylor have reached a truce. Both admit they have feelings for each other and want to begin a relationship. Things are going well but Taylor has a secret. She’s the daughter of Dylan’s favorite rocker. Dylan is an aspiring musician and wants to earn his way in the music world. Taylor’s interference with his music causes Dylan to question his trust in her. Taylor makes a life threatening move that could ruin things for them permanently. This series gets better with each book. The angst in this one might have been a little unrealistic but overall it was a really good story and I love how all the characters are still represented and intertwined in the story. There is something going on with each couple and I cannot wait to find out what it is.
What can I say?!! I love this series so much and Scarlet Wolfe's novels are a joy to read! She packs so much into each story!! I absolutely loved Dylan & taylor's love story!! I can't wait to read the next book about Matt and Morgan!!! It's love or goodbye!!!!
