I really wanted to like this book. I wanted it to make me cry and feel some emotion. Maybe I had too high of an expectation.
First of all a tunnel is referenced way too many times in this book. WAY....TOO...MANY..TIMES.. I really didn't enjoy this narration. Helen had plenty of bad things happen to her but sometimes I felt like she blamed others too much (??). Some circumstances were out of her control but some stuff rubbed me the wrong way. I did like learning more about the Orphanage and Helen's history. I'm glad Helen got her happy ending though.
