Huh. My first foray into Paranormal Erotic, and that was interesting.

This book is three stories contained in one, which was pretty fun. The first two are definitely warm-ups compared to the last one which takes up the majority of pages. My issue I had with the stories is that the climax happens and the story just ... ends. No follow up, no epilogue, just over.

The Collar - I actually thought this one was pretty funny. Can't tell you all the times I have had my girlfriends over for a sleepover and we pulled out the BDSM toys for a rousing game of Truth or Dare. Oh wait, that has never happened. Still, it was a quick story, but I would have liked to seen it carried further. Also, was this Rachel supposed to be the same Rachel in story 3? I didn't make that connection if it was, but I haven't gone back to check so someone can correct me if they know.

Figure Study - Again, an interesting quick read. But again, what happened after she discovered the secret? This story seemed like a very grown up retelling of an "Are You Afraid of the Dark" episode.

The Mistress in the Mirror - This was the focal point of the book. Without a whole lot of setup, the five girls are suddenly in a magical world with a kinky side. Elaine has some bizarre knowledge of faeries at all the most convenient times, which I found a little odd. I liked the fractured fairy tale aspect to it though, it reminded me of a haunted house I went thru a few years back. But again, this book just *ends*. Whaaa. I would have liked to know a little more about what happened.

So, good? Sure, not bad. It's a quick read, and I think possibly a good start for anyone looking into an offshoot of the Romance genre.
