Graham Reeves serves as lead engineer on the antimatter-harvesting ship Kerubi's Scythe, where his mundane existence accelerates into chaos when bloodthirsty pirates attack.

The situation escalates when Reeves discovers a saboteur among the crew, leaving him suspicious of all and trusting of none. With time running out, Reeves must repair the Scythe and get the crew to safe space before the pirates board and massacre them all.

Probably my favorite story by this writer so far even though his other work is just as interesting, it's just that I've always liked science fiction the most. Has more suspense and character development than what I would expect from a story under 100 pages. Hope there is more to come eventually from this universe.
